  1. The Nats probably wish they could play the Mets all the time!
  2. I agree. Not thrilled about Froome being back in first; the Tour may be over
  3. Yes, that's correct. I forget who said it but after the next year, Lebron may be on his way to LA as well.
  4. Peter Sagan has been tossed out of the TDF for elbowing Mark Cavendish at the finish today. Sagan said that he had been pushed and was using his elbow to brace himself. Too bad. I like Sagan's swagger.
  5. I tend to avoid cooked dogs, even at, or should I say especially, the ballpark. When I'm at Citifield I like to get the Premio sausage.
  6. My wife says she likes the Nathan's ones better and since she does the shopping....
  7. Can you be allowed that dream? Yes, in your dreams
  8. Casualties on the first day! Valverde is out. Tough to go out on the first stage, especially in a time trial.

    Dick Hyman

Jazz Wax had a recent article on Dick Hyman, http://www.jazzwax.com/2017/06/dick-hyman-sacramento-1980s.html Here's hoping he's ok.
  10. I thought I read that he wanted to go to LA.
  11. I imagine that they have to show a profit to stay in business (as with most businesses). Although I'm sure that they showed improved sales lately (due to the concern they might go out of business), I don't believe that issuing one or two sets per year will be sufficient to allow them to keep operating.
  12. The Tour kicks off today. I look forward to this every year. It kicks off with time trials in Düsseldorf. As in past years, I'm pulling for Nairo Quintana from Colombia.
  13. Disc 1. Purchased this on eBay. Not sure why I let this one pass when it was current.
  14. I once caught some of the senior tour on TV. I thought it was pretty enjoyable.
  15. Oops, got that wrong. Looks like Venus could be in trouble as The NY Times story cites a report from the Palm Beach Garden Police that she was at fault (although according to the story she has not been charged).
  16. Serena has other pressing issues; she was involved in a fatal automobile accident.
  17. However you cut it or dissect it, jazz listening/collecting is a graying market. You can't get away from that. Scott put it best. Jazz is by no means unique. Other hobbies are having the same problems. A few years ago I tried to sell my stamp collection. The dealer said you have nice stuff but I can't pay you much. He said the hobby had shrunk and those who were in it were very picky. If we could get kids interested in the hobby, your collection would fetch a nice premium. We finished our conversation by his saying "no kids! We need the kids."
  18. I don't know if their work is done because if they felt that way, then they'd close their doors. However, the era of the cd appears to be on the decline and the Jazz collector is graying. I'm not sure they're replacing us with newer blood, although I'm happy to be proven wrong.
  19. Brought on by himself. His one mantra was the freakin' triangle.
  20. Thank you and Rest In Peace.
  21. CH, I see what you're talking about with the drop down menu but the amount of products or sets they have (or have had, when times were better) is not that much or any challenge to a potential customer browsing their offerings.
