  1. This may have been mentioned but Scott said the Johnson set is due for a July or August repressing.
  2. Scott emailed me today that they are temporarily out of the Fitzgerald Webb set, in case anyone else besides me is waiting on the set. They're expecting it in approximately two weeks. The set is also on the Running Low list.
  3. Can't see springing for this box set, at that price, although it might be a good Xmas present. At any rate I'm happy with the mono box version. Not my favorite Beatles album anyway. Much prefer Revolver and Rubber Soul.
  4. What seems to be happening is what's happened to other hobbies: no kids! I don't mean that there aren't kids playing jazz but that there are no kids collecting jazz or interested in jazz (or so it seems) not to mention that it's us oldsters who still buy cds, which are slowly disappearing.
  5. Just catching up with this thread and talked to Scott. Just submitted an order for the Fitzgerald and Chick Webb set. Will order the JPJ set when it's available.

  14. JazzWax had a nice piece about her a couple of months ago, http://www.jazzwax.com/2017/02/henry-mancini-lola-albright.html
  15. Yes, thanks, I need to go back and listen to it.
  16. About to start Iza's Ballad by Magda Szabo.
  17. Thanks. I will need to look for that one. The cast probably shows he wasn't above trying new things.
  18. Strange as it may seem since these are all cds in my collection but I never closely listened to Roy Eldridge. I mean I had listened but not listened. Today I listened to Little Jazz and I discovered I had a Hep record, Hecklers Hop, that still had the plastic wrap on it. Amazing stuff.
  19. Yup, thanks for the tip!
  20. Good ole reliable engines
  21. I don't know if this will be deleted because it's political but it's only a proposed budget; it needs congressional approval and several representatives have objected to the cuts.
  22. I'm fluent in Spanish and lived in Brasil and it says The King Pelé A New Star of Brasil.
  23. Bird's Savoy and Dial recordings. Louis' Hot Fives and Sevens.
  24. Lincoln in the Bardo. To say it's different would be an understatement.
