  1. Well, if this bothers you so much, there's a simple solution: don't buy from them again.
  2. My son's car, a 2004 Camry, has one but do they sound better than CD? Can't think they do.
  3. Are there any cassette players around anymore?
  4. Completely agree Larry. Yup, amen to that. The whole issue from today on this thread seems to have to do with shipping and response times from Mosaic. I'm not particularly happy about how long it took me to get the Ella set and I did send off to Scott a rather curt email (for which I later apologized) but at the end of the day I cooled off and cut them slack because they're offering a unique product. It's not like I can go online and find someone else who sells what they sell. If that were the case, yes, I would have cancelled my order. In my business they're what you call a single source supplier. Moreover, and last and not definitely least, they're a jewel and we just can't lose them, warts and all.
  5. They're short staffed. Hard to get Scott on the phone but he does reply by email within a couple of days.
  6. A wonderful album from two different dates.
  7. Finding an effective 7th inning guy is probably the hardest bullpen position to fill.
  8. With 20/20 hindsight that's probably true but looking into the future last year, the future didn't look particularly bright and no one thought the Yankees would be that good this year. Moreover, had Betances pitched up to his capabilities this year, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.
  9. Meet the Mets was the original theme song of the Mets and still used. A great version was by Jane Jarvis when ballparks still had organs before they gave themselves over to blaring rock and hip hop songs. At Citifield each player has his own song which they play when he comes up to bat.
  10. Five Guys are good burgers. We ate at In and Out only once (in Irvine I think) and were unimpressed. Stuckeys, HoJo and the like are what someone remarked to me about Bob's Big Boy (where I briefly worked back in the 70s): "a glorified shit stand."
  11. The Nats probably wish they could play the Mets all the time!
  12. I agree. Not thrilled about Froome being back in first; the Tour may be over
  13. Yes, that's correct. I forget who said it but after the next year, Lebron may be on his way to LA as well.
  14. Peter Sagan has been tossed out of the TDF for elbowing Mark Cavendish at the finish today. Sagan said that he had been pushed and was using his elbow to brace himself. Too bad. I like Sagan's swagger.
  15. I tend to avoid cooked dogs, even at, or should I say especially, the ballpark. When I'm at Citifield I like to get the Premio sausage.
  16. My wife says she likes the Nathan's ones better and since she does the shopping....
  17. Can you be allowed that dream? Yes, in your dreams
  18. Casualties on the first day! Valverde is out. Tough to go out on the first stage, especially in a time trial.

    Dick Hyman

Jazz Wax had a recent article on Dick Hyman, http://www.jazzwax.com/2017/06/dick-hyman-sacramento-1980s.html Here's hoping he's ok.
  20. I thought I read that he wanted to go to LA.
  21. I imagine that they have to show a profit to stay in business (as with most businesses). Although I'm sure that they showed improved sales lately (due to the concern they might go out of business), I don't believe that issuing one or two sets per year will be sufficient to allow them to keep operating.
