  1. A member at Hoffman said that “It's from a Showa Era (this aired in 1986) music variety TV show. My wife is very familiar with it. It stars a famous Japanese comedian, Tamori.”
  2. I purchased Hackett cheaply but not one of my faves. I will probably try to sell it. I have a few Mosaic boxes that are taking up space.
  3. I only asked because I worked in the pharma industry and we were drilled that all AEs (Adverse Events) should be reported.
  4. Lonnie Smith and Alvin Queen put out Lenox and Seventh, which is a nice recording.
  5. Did you report your reaction?
  6. According to Discogs Wyncote acted as a distributor for this record. I don’t recognize most of the artists listed under Wyncote so I’m assuming they were pop. Very little jazz. https://www.discogs.com/label/33936-Wyncote?page=14
  7. That adds some context but still a little unusual.
  8. Some of them seem to focus on the trees without seeing the forest.
  9. Pretty fantastic and as others have commented, the sound is quite good.
  10. This is one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen. I was cracking up.
  11. A couple of days ago.
  12. Not a huge fan of this one although I don’t hate it.
  13. I have the Complete Savoy and Dial on cd and just love all those alt takes and false starts. For me, that’s an added bonus. With some sets I can do without all the takes but for Bird it’s essential.
  14. A shame. RIP.
  15. Looking forward to that Red Sox playoff game today. Oh, wait…
  16. All the Discogs sellers are in Europe, not US, but there are a few copies on eBay, both vinyl and cd, although the feedback for the cd sellers are a bit sketchy.
  17. Recently finished this. It’s excellent. Now in paperback. Now reading:
  18. Yes, this is its first appearance. I have the Verve LPR CD that was issued about 20 years but decided to get the vinyl version as well.
  19. The new vinyl version from VMP.
  20. I went back and doubled checked and I have eight of the ten albums, not enough to justify a purchase.
