    Pre-Covid I went on a couple of cruises. Generally ok. They weren’t jazz themed but on the last there was a jazz band playing one evening and that was a lot of fun. However, since we now live in a Covid age, I wouldn’t go on one again, at least for the foreseeable future.

    I purchased the 5cd version and I like all the extra takes that come with it vs the 2 cd set, particularly, as I mentioned earlier, that Revolver is my favorite Beatles album.

    I’ve ordered the 5 CDs version. Revolver is my favorite album of theirs, along with Rubber Soul. Maybe they will do that next.

    It has to do with a Jewish businessman trying to escape the Nazis after Kristallnacht and he keeps taking train after train but can’t escape them.

    I don’t know how I missed it either. I know it’s 16 years later but my condolences. My father died when he was 56, too young for both yours and mine.

    A member at Hoffman said that “It's from a Showa Era (this aired in 1986) music variety TV show. My wife is very familiar with it. It stars a famous Japanese comedian, Tamori.”

    I purchased Hackett cheaply but not one of my faves. I will probably try to sell it. I have a few Mosaic boxes that are taking up space.

    According to Discogs Wyncote acted as a distributor for this record. I don’t recognize most of the artists listed under Wyncote so I’m assuming they were pop. Very little jazz. https://www.discogs.com/label/33936-Wyncote?page=14

    Not a huge fan of this one although I don’t hate it.

    I have the Complete Savoy and Dial on cd and just love all those alt takes and false starts. For me, that’s an added bonus. With some sets I can do without all the takes but for Bird it’s essential.
