Cela aide toujours à comprendre le narrateur!

Today Marc Myers posted a link to this documentary. It’s in French with English subtitles.

Yes, why pick on Baltimore, except that’s it’s an easy mark. I’m sure a lot of other cities are not in great shape either.

Theatres are closed for the foreseeable future in NJ so I’m wondering how seating worked. I assume that at least every other seat is closed off but what about seats in the row in front of and behind you. I also assume they are numbered seats.

Do you live in Baltimore or are from Baltimore?

What rock music are you listening to? Non-Jazz, Non-Classical.

I’ve never really listened to him. What’s the best album to start off with? -
Found Shelley Manne’s My Fair Lady today in what looks to be top condition for $2.

A question for all youse guys about CDs
Brad replied to AllenLowe's topic in Offering and Looking For...
Nothing to do with safety, I just prefer owning a physical object that you can feel and has all the attributes of property. Digital media doesn’t have any of those qualities and your playing is dependent on someone else (servers, etc.). That is one reason why I’ve come to like LPs. For lack of a better term, it’s interactive, more so than CDs and definitely more than digital. -

I went today at 1130am. I had hoped to find Hooker n Heat, the John Prine box and Jazz at Midnite. Found the first one but the other two were gone, which was fine. I have the Bird on cd and the LPs in the Prine box are individually being released in mid September. From the photos the record shop posted on Instagram, the line was rather long, possibly due to their not having been one in April.

Jazz should be divided into two eras: BCP (Before Charlie Parker) and ACP.

Still buy CDs and there is still a market for them. I also buy LPs, mostly used, at estate sales. Hard to beat $1 or $2 a record. If you’re just looking to get rid of them in masse, I’d try someone like Dusty Groove or other record store. You’ll receive less than if you sold them yourself but the advantage is that it will be less of a headache. If you have no problem selling them yourself you can always use Discog prices as a guide. -
Obviously not the same but Baltimore is an easy target in some quarters, without being overly political.

And what does that have to do with anything?
