  1. My order had 20 cds, shipped via fedex express. Weird, no customs paperwork anywhere on the package, no indication of what was inside the box. I agree Cliff, it shouldn't have been delivered without tariffs paid if indeed they were due. But I have read here and elsewhere about people getting a bill later on.
  2. Instant order! Thanks so much.
  3. Did you get a bill for the tariff after delivery?
  4. I just got a pretty large order from CDJapan delivered by FedEx with no tarrifs due. Most of it was the new Byg/Actuel series released last month. Phew!
  5. That's a real shame as their cd packaging has been very well done up until now. Similarly the latest Corbett vs. Dempsey cds have much "cheaper" sleeves now compared to their excellent mini lp cover style they have been using.
  6. They filmed quite a few over the years. A lot of it is just beginning to surface.
  7. https://www.tributearchive.com/obituaries/2375908/nicholas-martin-di-geronimo,-sr. I saw your comment. I was just researching a few things today and came across his obituary. At least some of us remember him! I wish there were more recordings available.
  8. https://www.tributearchive.com/obituaries/2375908/nicholas-martin-di-geronimo,-sr. Was doing some research today and stumbled across this obituary. Sad, 3 records and a handful of unreleased live recordings is all we have by him. It's great to see another photo of him. Has anyone further information or recordings?
  9. I emailed the label last week, this was his response. Can't wait! Hi Christopher, We’re expecting these to be ready very soon.. there were some delays at the manufacturer but I’m told they’re back on track.. the remainder of the series will be issued before the end of February. Best, Matt / Nimbus
  10. Any progress on this? I would really love to hear those Wheelz cdrs.
  11. I've been looking for that one for a long time as well. I saw it once in person once in the late 90's but did not want to drop $35. Still kicking myself.
  12. Got mine today and giving it a listen. Sounds good to my ears. Mark Weber's liner notes say "This is the first of a complete run of live at I.U.C.C recordings..." Let's hope more see a release!
  13. These are previously unreleased archival recordings. I'm going to pull mine out for a spin this weekend.
  14. One of the great disappointments for me was the death of the Geodesic label. They released 3 items from the CAC archives then went poof. Well worth acquiring! http://beneathdetroit.com/products/ A little bit of history on the CAC can be found in their "about" page. I seem to recall a few well written articles about that scene either online or in print but can't lay my hands on them right now. beneathdetroit.com There are some full concerts (streaming only) archived on the site. Worth poking around.
  15. Any idea on who is in the trio Pim?
  16. soft giouk last name pronounced meenore, emphasis on the nore. What an excellent musician he is!
  17. A totally new recording to circulation! I ordered the cd and got the download yesterday. Excellent stuff from a relatively undocumented year. My old friend Jason Hook had a great website which is no longer active but you can access it through the wayback machine. https://web.archive.org/web/20131102134856/http://www.webmutations.com/ceciltaylor/index.html
  18. Definitely real cds. Have quite a few.
  19. It's fantastic. One of the best live Buckley releases so far, and there are lots.
  20. Archie Shepp: saxophone, piano Bill Dixon: trumpet Don Warren: bass Howard McGray: drums Perry Robinson: clarinet Recorded live at the Helsinki Conservatory August 2nd 1962 as part of the World Festival of Youth and Students for Peace and Friendship. This is a great performance. Have had a copy of this for some time, great to know others are liking it!
  21. http://tumrecords.com/box-003-sacred-ceremonies And this one as well. But it looks like May 21 for both. I love the man's music and vision and am thrilled to see him releasing albums prolifically these last 10-15 years.
  22. I used to go there 4-5 times a year in the 80's and 90's when they had store hours. So many great finds. I did not know they were still in business.
