Sounds like a good name for a band. actually, it was a good name for an abc sitcom that ran from 1998-2001. two of the three actors who starred in the show have gone on to other movie and tv roles - ryan reynolds starred in national lampoon's van wilder, and appeared in blade: trinity. traylor howard currently plays "natalie" on the tv show monk. i liked the guy-girl-pizza show partly because it was set in boston. both of the guys went to tufts university and worked at "beacon street pizza."

I like Stereo Jack's because... ... it's the best place to run into other quirky jazz fans like yourself. ... it's got great $2 bins (explore some different sounds) ... you may get rung up by the great multi-reedist Charlie Kohlhase. ... or you can get some good advice or maybe hear an interesting piece of jazz history as told by Jack himself. ... it's my Cheers. now if i could only get Jack to sell beer and allow cigar-smoking in the store. support your local record store by buying new cds and lps, and selling them unwanted titles from your collection for their used section. it's the circle of life.

shane, you're right of course. the reaction on which you commented was not related to berigan's initial post. that would have been harsh and unnecessary. what i was responding to was a guy who has gone out of his way to find the most outrageous and provocative stories to post on this board, someone who has been more interested in creating hysterics than engaging in meaningful dialog with others. in my initial response, i tried to point out his errors (worthless warranty, the amount of time a lot of us wait for repairs, his backup recorder), then i admittedly added a sting at the end for someone who has long made a habit of doing so to others. am i supposed to separate berigan, the political provocateur, from berigan, the guy who imo is acting like an entitled cry baby? oh, and one more thing. berigan, i think it's admirable that you're helping a friend suffering from ALS. i have no doubt that it as rewarding as it is difficult for you and everyone involved. however, i don't see how your friend's terrible disease has any bearing on your problem, or any place in your defense against my criticism of your dilemma. shane, pap, et al - i have no problem in dropping it at this point. i think i responded honestly, if somewhat forcefully, to someone who has shown a lot less respect and understanding to other members of this board than i did here.

Are talking 4-6 weeks for some component that you ordered online and had to mail back??? 4-6 weeks is a long time, for a 30 minute repair(Most likely) in my book. If I have one or two players doesn't matter, I would be without a dvd player in my bedroom..... I have a friend staying with me who has ALS, and he is often asleep or in "his" room with the door closed, so I can't record in there when I want to. I could take the recorder out of there, but then he couldn't play a movie if he wanted to. The store LIED to me, they just wanted the quick 40 bucks, the salesman wanted to get his cut, and made it sound like I wouldn't have any issues if I had a problem. And you don't know me at all, I don't raise hell to get my way.... you're right, i don't know you personally. but from your many posts, i believe that you are someone who is prone to make outrageous claims, someone who argues viewpoints that have little or no basis in fact, and someone who is loathe to take personal responsibility for his mistakes. oh yeah, and from this post i gather you're something of a... face it, there's a lot worse things in life than having to do without a 2nd dvd recorder for a few weeks.
