  1. Three White Horses? Is that link right?
  2. Well yeah, of course. There's an album cover for every occasion! And a picture is worth a thousand words. On a really good day here, you can get both, so, what is that 2-for-1? Or 50& off, if you like simple math.
  3. Listened to it about 6 months ago, actually, totally forgot about this thread. Sorry...but yeah, damn good, and yeah, check out Hubert Laws with Mongo. I think there might have been a side or two with him and Sonny Fortune? Not sure? Also heard him on organist Bill Mason's Eastbound album recently. What so many people don't care for in his flute playing is absent in his tenor playing, at least as I hear it, except one helluva embouchure on both axes, and that is a treu bitch in itself right there.
  4. http://thingsstuffandmusic.blogspot.com/2008/11/universal- (intentionally truncated link) http://www.discogs.com/Universal-Jones-Universal-Jones-Vol-1/release/3280786 Eugene McDaniels...left a trail, ya' know? This si one I didn't know about, though. Thanks for bringing it to light. Gonna be on the lookout for it.
  5. Sure hate to hear this..some of us are strokes waiting to happen, and this is sobering news. Not just a great talent lost, also another reminder to not take things for granted. Anything.
  6. Yeah, this. Eddie Harris records. I used to think that "Jodie" was a woman.

  12. But did the pins orbit around a glass of beer, with their own independent gravity? That would make we leave the room, if I saw some hoodoo shit like that going on.
  13. I've been looking for album covers with dust, but this is the best I could do...I'll take it, though...
  14. Most unpleasant experience of my life was when I had to pound a rat to death with a shovel in the garage. Still creeps me out just to think about that, and rats, now. My daughter had a pet rat shortly after that, and it was so cute and stuff, but I could not bring myself to hold it or pet it. I'm rurnt on rats. Glad they're moving to Mars, wish them well. They'll never again see me, nor I them. Win-win, all the way.

  17. Doctor totes the note, bills insurance for some kind of service or another, kicks the money back to you so you can pay him for him toting the note, it's all legal, plus you get to not just own and drive the car of your dreams, but to own and drive the car of your dreams while being legally stoned. And getting insurance to pay for ALL of it. Dude, you can DO this!

  19. Oh, for the record, officially, complaints against content should be registered through the Report function/link. The moderators do look at that stuff, believe me. And also, issues with moderation should be sent to the moderator in question or to Jim A via PM. But in this case, you got a moderator who fucked up, and who is going to bed soon. Problem causer & problem solver one and the same. Shortest distance between two points. So, again, my bad. And why three people?
  20. It was tacky. My bad. Took it out. But "odd choices of words" are something that are big-time entertainment if you ask me!
  21. Now, if you were the guy who invented album cover threads, then you'd have some serious justifications to make. You would have found the fatal wound in all things human and poured open salt into it. And I would be but one of your many victims. But this? This is actually cool.
  22. That bass note at 3:07...seriously?
