GO! is the "best album" (DOIN' ALRIGHT comes close, but Dex's playing doesn't soar the way it does on GO!, and w/Dex, the more the soar, the higher the score)), but OUR MAN IN PARIS is my favorite, just because it's got that danger to it - Bud sounding like he could lose it at any second, Pierre Michelot doing the same (but for totally different reasons), Klook sounding like he don't givaphuk, he's gonna get his nut one way or the other, and Dex sounding gleefully delighted to be right smackdab in the big fat middle of it all, doing his full part for and to maintaining the states of all concerned. If anybody on this date was totally sober, I'd be shocked. Men at work, growed mens, properly fortified for the tasks at hand.
