Thanks! I noticed Innerconnection (just a short while ago!) on the NB website, thought it looked very interesting, but promptly forgot . I like NoBusiness and own several of their releases, so that looks like the way to go.
Thanks, nice article. Park Ave. Armory was not a music venue back in my NYC concertgoing days.
I once heard the "past group with the baritone Thomas Buckner" perform a Roscoe composition at Merkin Concert Hall (Lincoln Center area).
Yeah, I'm a dinosaur and dumb-ass, but does MySpace even exist any more?

Bump.
Really enjoying Ted Daniel's playing on the Andrew Cyrille Black Saint box (Metamusicians' Stomp, Special People, The Navigator). Only other thing I've heard him on is Henry Threadgill's excellent Song out of my Trees. Further suggestions welcome.
[Andrew Hill Smokestack] Yeah, this one is a real stunner! Hill's playing is tremendous and the unusual ensemble (piano trio + 1 extra bassist) really works well.
Yes, I remember just as you described, but still can't say 100% because I never went back and inspected the site after receiving the "only if we get X number of order" e-mail.
So far everything about this box appears confused to me. Waiting for more e-mail.
It's a good set. The trio disc "Strange Serenade" with Alan Silva and Freddie Waits is also a standout. It took me several listens to connect with the other two (solo piano) CDs, but I now enjoy them too!
Inclined to agree. Plus, there's now a lot of speculation about jobs and even entire career fields being vulnerable to AI-related automation. Trades seem much less susceptible to that IMO.
Mosaic said they'd decide "by early March". I haven't heard anything since the preorder announcement of 20 Feb (which also, in an apparent typo, said the set was "7-CD").
I expect a couple more "we'll need a strong response for preorders" e-mails before any decision is made public. The "early March" may not be carved in stone.
Thanks. I'm going to order. I've heard the 6 Monk's Compositions disc with Braxton et al.; maybe not essential Waldron per se but an outstanding recording. If 7 out of 11 CDs are good to excellent (assuming the worst of the Freeman and Rava albums; can't imagine I'll dig the 2 with vocals), the box offers value for money.
