i have never bought an XRCD or any non redbook cd--- so they will play on my 1988 sony cd deck? seriously? even if its not redbook? since an original soul stn vinyl is still a ways off for me i suspect-- id be interested in this to tide me over--- wait wait so XRCDs are BETTER than redbooks but WORSE than HDCD? or ?

uk proper records cd, early sonny- or is it early criss, or early sonny criss, or whatever the hell. you need this cd STAT. you get the complete sonny w/ bird n chet in inglewood session, plus other early classics including cuts w/ Hampton Hawes. YOU NEED THIS CD. you also need to hear sonnys major label late period studio work. there an album u can probably google "warm & sonny" which kind of has a cult following- its a full turn from the bebop sonny of his youth but its beyond beautiful, and has lee ritenour on it

im listening to a classic blue note labeled-early liberty w/ rvg stereo stampers, ok side 2, starts w/ a ballad, i swear this is flamingo, not JOS, but side two on lp and label, say its 1. jos and 2. flamingo. can anyone help me confirm this, and if so if this is like this on the original issue as well. ok this might be a liberty, and it might of been in the 3 dollar bin and had a little "frowny" face sticker on it for the vinyl qual, but my god it sounds in-frickin-credible.
