not only did syd write good music but he wrote even better lyrics which influenced later pf lyrics through the end. the meter and flow of the rhymes. they were simple but with complex twists. syd was a good guy but life really stuck it to him and for that i am sorry. i always thought one day his p.f. friends would visit him but alas it never happened. -

wake up and smell the hotcakes ALL OJC titles on cd, tape, or lp are ALL "OOP" and have been for quite some time now. there is no magical factory pressing you off fresh copies of these titles- they are all backstock and they will never be pressed again as long as Concords running the show. We need to have a takeoever of these Concord people. isnt concord like a parent company of "Glaxo-Smith-Kline" the pharmaceutical people. we need to buy it out from under them -

hi chewy chew chew again here: has anyone heard syd only solo gig. it is gimour on bass and jerry shirley from the humble pie on drums. they do an electric version of Terrapin, then they do Giglo Aunt, and then during the 3rd song syd throws his guitar down and walks off, forever-- its knarly -

chewy-chew-chew-checkin' in to pay my respects- PF never would of been able to do their later stuff w/o Syd showing them the way- i will listen to some early live syd and i will watch some early pf videos with syd as well today. but what did syd die of exactly? the reports havent said. was it that diebeties he had. its too bad the other memebers did not get to say goodbye while he was still alive last week- it will haunt them the rest of their lives -

I wonder if he has a customized koehler hammond organ, with a koehler built right into the organ bench. that is similar 2 my big dream of having the "BBQB3" organ: its a hammond with a built in bbq grill on the top level so u can play the organ and cook your ribs at the same time. i already have the drawings set up

The Ideal Jazz Club
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez replied to Free For All's topic in Miscellaneous Music
hi everyone! chewy-chew-chew-reporting here 2 say u are have it so nice and good in your prauge and your edinburgh with you ideal jazz clubs and your efficent public transportation and your loose women and your quality beers and eye poppin tv programming. why dont you take a reality check over here in usa and see in order 2 get into a jazz club u buy a ticket, then u trade the ticket for a hand stamp and slip of paper. then u take slip of paper and clip it 2 chair. then after shows all over u have 2 pay AGAIN, this time for your food and for your drinks. then when its over u have 2 go home beacuse the city shuts down. u are so spoiled in prauge with your underground after hours fetish clubs and your klubkalash meat-on-stick stands. -
agrgrghghh the same thing just happened again. for 3 bucks i was gonna get george wallington qt feat. d.byrd and phil woods on OJC reissued lp but i didnt get it cause i think i hate phil woods. i just have this dibic about him i can explain it but i never want to listen to anything he is a part of. so instead i bought for 7.99 (on reissued ojc lp as well) DAVE BRUBECK OCTET- i have 2 cuts on a box set and 1 or 2 on a Fantasy 78 rpm disc but it is so nice and orchestrated i just had 2 get it. it is better than birth of the cool!

so whats the best Blue Note Stereo mixes? what albums? yea yea and didnt one of those tech posts say that when they remaster to lp they go straight from analog no digital conversion? well i was listning to db at the half note on tape and all those tapes are digitally remastered....so they dont go straight to analog w/ the tapes
