  1. u got it all backwards Jimmy-Jimmy-Cocca-Puff- the point is not to ressurect Mobley or exhume him like those drunk rednecks did with Ronnie Van Zant last year. But u wouldnt have every mobley album so you wouldn't know what 2 think- tee hee.

  10. hi chewy-chew-chew here to lend a helping hand in declaring that peggy lee is one ripe tomato!!!!!!!! that record is that all there is-- is that tragic story true and really happened, or is it just part of the song. her early 78s are good too but what really gets me is that latin a la lee and the later stuff
  11. well at least i don't have my own jazz bullitin board thats just one giant commerical for my new organ trio cd which by the way makes Leo Sayer seem like Hampton Hawes
  12. hi everybody chewy-chew-chew here 2 tell u that i NEVER have seen that lp ANYWHERE or i would of checked it out and probably bought it if it was under $2.99. thats my capper price for regional northwest jazz lps anyway. my cappers larger for regional country and garage rock beacuse they have a better northwest music track record.
  13. roy ayers was there and didnt play vibes but was there and just sang? that is nutz. i would of asked for my money back.
  14. wait wait so is THAT how albert ayler died, by jumping off a ferry? is that the answer to the "mystery" as we all have put it....
  15. hi chewy-chew-chew checkin' in here: let me take a bite of the chew-stick and say that basia is very underrated now beacuse she only has like 2 or 3 cds and has a great voice but her albums could have been better with different drum programming and production. but her songs definetly could be covered in jazz a lot more than they have been, espically "time and tide" from here debut cd. her 2nd cd from like 1990 thereabouts is also really good, and somewhat of an improvement on the 1st as far as programming is concerned. i am very imparticular with that kind of stuff, i would of much perfered straight latin percussion or maybe the phil collins famous short-attack reverb noise gated drum effect or something
  16. it would be 25 bucks for a ticket and 20 bucks in gas but i have never seen them and the beach boys are like my favorite band ever. its just the notorious mike love + bruce johnston, + five backup guys. has anyone seen this linup ever. is it still a fun show. im really thinking about doin it.
