A woman driver is pulled over by a policeman. "Is there a problem, Officer?" "Yes, madam, you were speeding." "Really?" "May I see your licence please?" "I'd give it to you but I don't have one." "Don't have one?" "Nope. Lost it after drunk driving four times." " I see...May I see your vehicle registration papers please?" "Nope. Can't do that either." "Why not?" "Well ... I stole this car." "Stole it?" "Yes, after I killed and dismembered the owner." "You what?" "Lost my temper. It was messy. His body is in a pile of plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see." The policeman looks at the woman for a second, then backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within minutes there are more police cars circling them. A police sergeant approaches the car, gripping his half drawn gun. He clears his throat, then calls to her, "Madam, please step out of and away from your vehicle." She does so. "Is there a problem sir?" "One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner." "Murdered the owner?" "Yes. Could you open the trunk of your car please?" She does, and they both look down into a dusty, empty space. "Is this your car, madam?" "Yes. Here are the registration papers." The Sergeant scans through them, and sees that they are in order. "My officer claims that you do not have a driving licence." The woman rummages through her bag, then hands her licence to the puzzled Sergeant. "Ma'am, my officer told me you didn't have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and dismembered the owner." "I'll bet he told you I was speeding, too!!"

haven't gotten around to picking up his new one, of course i'll join the rest of the country and go buy it, tho i'll wait to see if the CD prices dip after the first. i have a ton of his stuff on vinyl. when i was a youngster, i listened to Cash, Jennings, Jones, Haggard, Etc., much to the annoyance of my Jazz musician father. i even had an uncensored version of "A Boy Named Sue".

G*d Bless him. i had a feeling he wouldn't last long after his wife died, as his health had been declining for several years. that Hurt video is one of the best i've ever seen. isn't it a Tool cover?

What Do You Do? What Have You Done?
jacman replied to Dan Gould's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
man, my history is kinda dull. joined the Air Force at 17, and spent 4 years as a Corpsman stationed in the SF bay area. went to college hoping to get an art degree, but discovered that as good as i was, i wasn't that good. so, i went to nursing school. if i remember correctly, there were only 4 other men in a class of 50 . been doing that in a multitude of positions since. now i'm a mostly stay at home dad (working part-time in home health), with a 4 year old daughter, and a 10 year old step-daughter. i started doing art again, and have taken up drums and didgeridoo as a hobby. in between all this i've been: janitor off-set printing pressman photolab instructor window washer dishwasher file clerk i tried being a drunken lout, but it didn't pan out. -
Mosley in a decision. i don't think De La Hoya is hungry enough. should be a good fight tho.

got one like that last week. replied that i was going to forward the e-mail to a buddy of mine in the FBI. LOL, having me as a buddy would probably keep most people out of the FBI. i then told them to EMF. <edit for horrific spelling>

i'm listening to some Didjeridoo music. very soothing to my soul.

i certainly feel no empathy for her. i do pity her. she was a great artist, but willingly used her art to further Nazi-ism. as she stated in her memoirs, she was captivated by Hitler, as were millions of other people. Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

i love to see all of the BMW's and Mercedes' in the parking lot at the Temple. short memories.

maybe i'm getting old, but i kinda felt sorry for her. before i go any further let me preface with this: i am an American born Jew. my grandparents escaped eastern Europe just before WW1 and i lost some family to Communists, and Nazis. my father and both grandfathers fought in Europe and the Pacific during WW2. i think that she, like most other Germans and many other people were captivated by Hitler's speeches. remember, Post WW1 Germany was a shambles. high unemplyment, horrible economy. Hitler came along and promised them the world. he stirred in them a national spirit that they had lost. he blamed their woes on the Jews, and that was that. the German people needed a scapegoat, and Hitler's anti-Semitism fit right in. i don't know if she knew of the death camps. she claimed she didn't. i've seen 2 of her films, Triumph Of The Will and Olympia. both are amazing movies. i've also seen the documentary about her: The Wonderful, Horrible Life of Leni Reifenstahl. that too was a great movie. i'm not apologizing for her or anyone involved with any form of anti-Semitism. i think she was a great artist, who didn't see (or chose not to see, as many Germans did) the atrocities that were happening right in front of her. history, for now, will refer to her as Hitler's Movie Maker. i think that is punishment enough. well, that plus an eternity in hell.

RIAA offers amnesty to downloaders, but you must
jacman replied to The Mule's topic in Miscellaneous Music
the amnesty looks like a wolf in sheeps clothing. not that i would ever do any illegal activity, but if i did, i'd delete all my files in my shared folder, traffic, and search history. why hasn't the movie industry done anything? i heard about people downloading movies from KaZaA. -

Mazel Tov, and many years of health and happiness.

because of him i learned to appreciate sandwiches. FWIW-i was made to understand that he developed Mesothelioma. if that is indeed true, it wasn't smoking that killed him, it was repeated exposure to asbestos 20+years ago.
