  4. I am interested in the AVS "Monk's Casino".

  5. There are several Venus 2 cd sets that package previously released cds and that do not have the "controversial" covers. For instance, Shepp's French Ballads (or Deja Vu) is combined with True Ballads. Kuhn's blue waltz is combined with the red waltz. The pricing is also better.
  6. The Tang Museum at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY will be presenting two concerts this week for FREE. 8 Pm on Thursday April 13, 2017 is Joe McPhee, Chris Corsano and Ephraim Asili. On Friday April 14, 2017 at 8 PM is Matana Roberts and Kamau Patton. Apparently these concerts are presented in connection with exhibit on Sun Ra that combined art with a mixtape. The exhibition runs from April 13-19th.

  9. Last Thursday night, the Swell concert that Relyles wrote about. Saturday night was the Mario Pavone Accordion project at Real Art Ways in Hartford. Sunday afternoon was Trio 3 at the same location.

  11. T.D. I was at the concert Sunday night at the Falcon. I understood Harper to say that he had either bought back the rights to the music on the Blueprints of Jazz cd that he was selling or that he had bought all of the physical inventory of that cd. Great concert although I thought Aaron Scott played too loudly.
  12. I am interested in the harry miller set if still available

  16. I attended the Wednesday night concert at The Falcon in Marlboro, NY with a non-jazz familiar, blues loving, friend. Friend dug the entire group and especially the guitarist. I enjoyed all three members of the band. About 1 3/4 hour show non-stop. Wonderful music. Funny, before the show the club owner was not sure what to expect. After one tune he was extolling the musicianship!!!!!! Jim-what was the one-hit pop wonder you played?- Oooh Baby?
  17. I intend to be at the Falcon in Marlboro unless life intervenes
