  1. The Bills SHOULD have won that game and I think they pretty much dominated the Patriots for most of the contest. You have to give those guys credit...3 rookies on the offensive line and they played like veterans. The Bills played with alot of heart, that is the first step towards being a good team.
  2. Rather interesting day of football yesterday, wish I had the Sunday ticket thing so I could see more games. I was watching the highlights last night and a couple of the scores kind of made me blink. N.O: 45 - Lions: 27 (what surprised me there was that the Lions scored 27 points) Seahawks: 28 - Rams: 0 I have a feeling it's going to be a LONG year for the Rams....
  3. Well, it's definitely sad news for Mosaic. I'm taking it in stride, I kind of hit my "collecting wall" several years ago and I've managed to re-program myself to not be upset by news like this.
  4. Air Conditioning. Relaxation. Music. Maybe a movie or two.
  5. Opeth - Watershed (2LP)
  6. SPACED - Season 1
  7. Until he throws those 4th quarter interceptions that kill the drives......I have some friends who are Jets season ticket holders and they couldn't wait until he got out of town- he took the Jets out of the playoffs. During the first half of the year all the Jets fans were slobbering over him, then when he got injured and his play suffered as a result they wanted to lynch him. Typical behavior for the NY teams apparently. (they wanted Coughlin's scalp...until he won a Superbowl) The saving grace for Favre in Minnesota is the presence of Adrian Peterson. Having a legitimate passing threat will free up all kinds of room for Peterson to run wild.
  8. I haven't really heard any new jazz releases this year, need to read through this thread and check some out. In the "non-jazz" department my favorite releases so far: Mastodon - Crack The Skye: unbelievably dense progressive rock/metal, that is somehow catchy at the same time. Heaven & Hell - The Devil You Know: aka Black Sabbath w/Dio, these old codgers can still summon Beelzebub with timeless doom laden riffage. YOB - The Great Cessation: After hanging out with Iommi & Co., Beelzebub heads off to Eugene Oregon to hang out with Prog/Doom weirdos YOB, much detuned herb influenced sludge ensues. This album turned my hair white overnight.
  9. I agree completely, quite the makeover they did to the source material. I'll definitely need to watch the entire series again from the very start, it was pretty dense but fascinating throughout.
  10. I'm planning to go see it, I'll watch ANYTHING with Amy Adams in it. She's adorable.
  11. I prefer Black & White movies to color....but that's never going to come back into fashion as the "norm". So I enjoy what I can from the golden age and the rest of the time I do with what's available.
  12. ANYBODY?
  13. LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!!!! Where did you see that????
  14. Thanks gang! Had a good day of training at the new job, think I'm going to really like working there (Apple). Since I'm such an old fart, I think I'm going to take a quick cat nap before I have dinner.
  15. Lon, hope you start feeling better! Happy Birthday!!!!
  16. LOST - Season 1. Believe it or not, I'm just now starting to watch this series...thank you Netflix!
  17. I haven't made up my mind yet...watching slowly.

    Tiny Grimes

I love Tiny Grimes, the album you have is one of my favorites (Prestige Blues Swingers). My second favorite is the already mentioned: I discovered both of these albums when I was on my "Jerome Richardson kick" several years ago...which was great because I discovered Tiny in the process.
  19. Opeth - Watershed (2LP set)
  20. Battlestar Galactica - Season 4.5 - Disc 3
  21. 1 person watched this? You guys SUCK.
