Yes, my copy is a quadrophonic pressing and a promotional copy. It does sound good. I've never heard a quadrophonic system though.

I recollect seeing him at the Caravan of Dreams back in the 1980s, at a fantastic Jack DeJohnette Special Edition concert.

I watched on Saturday night. I rather liked the Borderlands trio and ordered their CD right away.

Isn't CJ Shearn a member here? https://www.gofundme.com/f/cj-shearn-apartment-fire-relief-fundraiser?teamInvite=cH4JADCcXZYBMhu7rSYwvdLAL7GRadTGJRlpRx3n5K4Px1SSbBFIZY9ZEl2ZPTvP&utm_medium=email&utm_source=product&utm_campaign=p_email%2Bteaminviteemail On the evening of Wednesday, January 6, 2021, our dear friend CJ Shearn, who lives alone with cerebral palsy, lost their home in an electrical fire in a Yonkers apartment building. Thankfully, everyone in the building made it out safely in time, but the fire quickly escalated and the apartment was a total loss, along with all of CJ's possessions (their cats have not yet been found). This was the first apartment CJ ever had on their own after their mother passed away a few years ago. It is a huge and devastating loss. CJ is alive thanks to the herculean effort of their home aid, Miama James, who rushed over when CJ called her about an electrical outage. When the electrical fire started and began to take over the apartment, Miama wheeled CJ down the hall to the building stairs while banging on all of the neighbors' doors to let everyone know to get out of the building. She managed to tie CJ to her body with her coat and proceeded to CARRY them down the 3 flights of stairs to safety. Without Miama there, CJ may have died. There will be many obstacles ahead in trying to piece CJ's life back together. Please consider helping by contributing to this fundraiser to support CJ in the wake of this great tragedy. With all our love and thanks, Thana Alexa & Antonio Sanchez

If you are staying in midtown, it is the convenient/walking distance live music option, along with Iridium. I recollect seeing there: Ron Carter, John Abercrombie, Lee Konitz, Pat Martino, Andy Summers, Vijay Iyer, the Toskiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabackin Orchestra (except Toshiko was absent that night). -
MIssed that one.

Most self-indulgent present to self?
kh1958 replied to ejp626's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Buying a pile of Tone Poets, even though in most cases I already have both an earlier LP pressing and a CD version. -
A late addition to the best releases of 2020: Dezron Douglas and Brandee Younger, Force Majeure. Gorgeous harp and bass duos recorded from livestream performances.

He also leads a New Orleans soul/funk band and is Christian Scott’s uncle. I heard him last year at Snug Harbor with Lonnie Smith and with the band of Cuban percussionist Alexey Marti.
