  11. I have every one of those releases already, so no thanks.
  12. No, I used the email on the website. Thanks.
  13. Received my set on Tuesday and unfortunately it appears an elephant stepped on one corner of the shipping box, crushing one corner of the black box and plastic tray, though the CDs and booklet are okay. Mosaic service has certainly gone down hill, as my query as to whether it was possible to obtain a replacement box/tray has gone unanswered for two days.
  14. Thanks, ordered the CD.
  15. Last Thursday, Tom McDermott, solo piano, at 3 Muses on Frenchman Street in New Orleans. Followed by Delfeayo Marsalis Sextet at Snug Harbor, with the groove master Herlin Riley on drums, tenor saxophonist Rod Paulin, and Jesse McBride on piano. Last Friday, Will Smith at Preservation Hall (a mistake, leader was not good), followed by Jason Marsalis (vibes) Quartet, featuring Oscar Rossignoli on piano, and a tribute to Lionel Hampton, at Snug Harbor. On Saturday, the excellent drummer Joe Lastie was the leader of a much better version of the Preservation Hall All Stars at Preservation Hall.
  16. Shipping notice by email has now arrived.
  17. SFJazz Collective, The Music of Chick Corea
  18. Charlie Parker, On Dial, volume 3 (Spotlight) Presenting Red Mitchell (Contemporary). Unfortunately, the original cover was not included but I could not resist a deep groove mono copy for $4.
  19. Jason Moran, The Sound Will Tell You (Yes)

  21. Stanley Jordan - Live in Concert! Date Friday July 22 and 23, 2022 Time Showtime 9:30pm Location Windmills Grandscape (map) 5755 Grandscape Blvd The Colony TX 75056 $25.00Play VideoShare Buy Tickets Guitar virtuoso Stanley Jordan displays openness, imagination, versatility, and maverick daring. His music is imbued with warmth and sensitivity and can be counted on to take listeners on a breathless journey into the unexpected. His special touch technique allows him to play simultaneously on two different guitars, or even on guitar and piano. But this technique is always a means to a musical end. His versions of “The Lady in My Life” and “Eleanor Rigby” sent Magic Touch to the top of Billboard’s jazz chart for 51 weeks and made the album a gold-seller. Leonard Feather wrote, “Genius is a word often tossed around in musical circles, but it has been rightfully applied to Stanley Jordan.”
  22. I noticed she was playing at the Old Mint Jazz Museum in New Orleans a couple of times in June and checked her out on youtube and Bandcamp. I'll be ordering the other CD too.
  23. Selene Saint-Aime, Potomitan (Komos)
