  1. This game got boring early. Lakers executing well, Rockets looking totally out of sync. Bynum played well. I hope the Celtics/Magic game is a little more interesting, I'm guessing it will be.
  2. Yes, looks fine. So did some (but not all) people see the image on the first post? And you can stuff your sorries in a sack, mister!
  3. Fixed. Thank you. Now I get it.
  4. What can I say, it was by request. Sounds pretty tasty to me. Do you fry, bake or grill the wings? Hot sauce and butter or something fancier? I made some asparagus soup tonight that turned out really well. Pretty simple recipe too.
  5. I'm seeing nothing but Jim's text on the first post. Which is why I was wondering WTF.
  6. Chicago SOUL Dog?
  7. Another cryptic Sangrey riddle. Anyone? Bueller?
  8. Cynthia Nixon Willie Dixon Peter O'Toole
  9. Resting in peace with Nat in Tallahassee.
  10. Think you could find me a copy on 8 track, Tom?
  11. "Trombone Jazz" -isn't that an oxymoron?
  12. Watching this now. It's very good so far, nice clips and interviews.
  13. I have some used vinyl that apparently once belonged to "Brutus". Looks like he was a DJ. I always wonder why these specific folks sold their collections- could be for a variety of reasons. It's all great stuff, so if you're out there, Brutus, thanks. Your records went to a good home. Speaking of the DJ thing, I envy the guys here who have radio shows. I always wanted to have a jazz radio show. My dad had one for awhile in the late 60s. That's actually where my interest in jazz began, I liked it even though I didn't have any idea of what was going on. A couple times he let me announce the time and temperature on-air, I remember that was such a cool thing.
  14. I probably would be the one wearing the red uniform as well. *sigh*
  15. An excellent session, and (as mentioned) much of the credit goes to Slide for his great arrangements. I really like what he did w/You Don't Know what Love Is. Don't hesitate to pick this one up! EDIT: Quite some time ago I transcribed Slide's solo on My Blues. It's a good one. All players play well on this one.
  16. It was OK, fairly typical dramatic orchestral stuff. There was some great low brass throughout (and especially during the end titles). I was glad they didn't use the previous themes- although they did use a version of the original TV theme over the closing credits.
  17. Don't get the red one- you'll be killed!
  18. Is that the prequel to Meat House?
  19. Just got back from seeing it. Very entertaining and lots of fun. Granted, there were a few spots where even I (with my minimal knowledge of science stuff) was thinking WTF? I don't want to mention anything now because it might spoil it for some. I caught that too, it was funny. All in all, :tup
  20. It seemed like we were about due for another cyber-pinata. Swing away, Merrill!
