  1. I would be interested to hear Karl's comments on the "Where Fortune Smiles" session. There are many "urban legend" stories connected to that side.
  2. Showed up in the mail today. I'm surprised I didn't have this Dexter.
  3. Welcome Karl! Great to see you here!

  10. Slow cooked a beef roast overnight in broth, onion soup mix & seasonings, then chopped it up and put it back in the slow cooker w/some BBQ sauce. It's smelling mighty good! Will eat it on a bun w/sour pickles.
  11. It's good to have done enough in your life to merit a yada or two.
  12. I guess I should have posted this in Politics. Moderators, please do as you must.
  13. The rest of the story I grew up listening to him. A very engaging style of delivery, a true original. RIP.
  14. Nothing elaborate today, just coffee and toast. And grapefruit- I love ruby red grapefruit and the ones I've been getting here have been consistently spectacular. Perfect balance of sweet and tart- absolutely delicious.
  15. Happy Birthday Wes!
  16. For some reason I thought it was "Other Scents". Go figure.
  17. Many versions of these radio dates. So which one has the best sound? Are any of these legit labels? The version I posted sounds pretty good. In any case, it's so great to hear more music from this band.
  18. Tonight, my mom's potato & corn chowder, with some extra stuff. I cook a couple pieces of chopped bacon in the pot and then saute onions & garlic, then the potatoes go in with some chicken stock. Later I add the corn, and also asparagus, fresh shrimp, scallops, clams and some Old Bay and other seasonings (definitely some hot sauce). And some milk, of course. Served with some crusty kalamata olive bread. Yum! Thanks mom! Your son misses you!
  19. Up for nojjjjjjjjjy! Happy Birthday bro! Noj is a very talented artist, so anyone who's new here should check out his website.
  20. Helen does have a wonderful voice and her own niche, no question. It sure sounds like she's checked out a lot of Billie*. Larry, you forgetful idiot, you've done it again! * phrasing, time
