I know, I know.
About Lonehill I mean.
I don't know about the bonus track on 'Introducing' but guess it's 'Our Love Is Here to Stay'.
I have the album on vinyl plus that VSOP box so I'm happy with that Cleveland material...
Cleveland made 4 lps for Emarcy.
All 4 LPs are included in the Lonehill double CD. That reissue even includes a track ('Our Love is Here To Stay') that was not on any of the LPs but first appeared on the Mercury VSOP 4LPs box in Japan
The Burrell was a real nice surprise-if nothing for Silva's electric violin! Roscoe Mitchell's there too. Wish I had more in the series, but they were too expensive for me at the time. Guess I'll check out Walmart.com
Don't skip the Roswell Rudd (with John Tchicai). One of the best of the series!
Brownie, can't you go to their headquarters and check things out? I thought Italy was just down the street from you.
Guy
I'ld love a visit to Milan right now. If there was a current phone number, could give them a call!
He has been for awhile--the past several years, I believe.
Missed that! But I have not read The New Yorker in a long time.
Has Giddins taken over the jazz critic position at the magazine?
Those Chet Baker Mariachi recordings were an embarassment! One of the worsts was this one
but the others were no better.
The Jackie McLean Monuments was not good but it was not the dismal failure these Chet Bakers were!
