Marty, Claude Schlouch's discography of Kenny Dorham has this session dated April 10, 1967. Recorded at Minton's.
Drummer is Hersh Charles.
Claude also lists Joe Lee Wilson as singing on ''I'll Remember April', 'What's New' and 'Four'.
Claude will fill in on details, I'm sure.
Part of the problem might be that he started so strong when he was with Charles Mingus (the Antibes concert and the Candid albums) that his later appearances - even if some of them were very good - were somehow disappointing and rarely worthy of the enormous potential he showed earlier.
I like Ted Curson and enjoy many of his albums!
Some of his early films can be forgotten but yes the man was a genius!
He was in Kubrick's 'Lolita' and 'Dr. Strangelove' and was mesmerizing in both.
His Inspector Clouseau parts were excellent but in 'The Party' he turned the film into a masterpiece!
What a brillant actor!
What's that, your good friend Tony Scott, or Benito's ahem... or wait, you mean your good friend Benito?
My good friend was (and still is I- hope - although I have not seen him in a long time) Tony Scott.
The first jazz musician I ever met. The start of a long affair!
What a beautiful man Tony Scott is. Wish he could find time to write his biography. He has thousands of stories with all the jazz greats to tell! Beside being an awesome musician!
Never met Romano. My heart was not into that!
From AP:
Never thought much of him as a piano player.
I'll spare eveyone my thoughts on his father
Good friend Tony Scott who often played with him thought rather highly of him!
And now, Caiman has released in their 10CD set series, a Miles Davis box with pre-1956 material from Prestige, BN, Columbia.
I saw the box on sale at €9,99 ($12)

Ben Ratliff reviews Joe Wilder's appearance at the VV in The New York Times today.
Compliments to Michael Weiss for making this happen
And to quote myself 'Wish I could be there '
Any idea if the group is going to make an album?
Yes I have the original 10" issue (Swing M 33.341). It has the same six titles in the same order as the BMG CD. The album was reviewed in the French jazz magazines in mid 1955.
If you're in touch with Mike, tell him he is being missed here!
Minimal but very informative talk. Leaving plenty of time for the music.
And Ran Blake music talks!
Really an excellent program. Learned a lot and enjoyed it immensely!
Strange that the Jay Cameron entry as Leader does not list his first session: Jay Cameron and his International Sax Band, the Swing date with Bobby Jaspar, Barney Wilen, Jean-Louis Chautemps, Henri Renaud, etc...
The release was mentioned in this Ascenseur thread
The French version (without the Miles Davis improvisation footage and the Giddins-Faddis discussion) has been released. Spectacular work on the film video.
The film has nicely aged. Jeanne Moreau is splendid! Urtreger comes out excellent as usual in his interview part!
