  1. Here's an interesting site for those who think that the iPod is not a particularly good mp3 player. I intend to read what they have to say about the various Sansa's, which I've read good things about. http://anythingbutipod.com/
  2. Res ipsa loquitur! http://alsinsideout.com/from-the-sidelines/cheerleader-of-the-week/michelle-g-2/
  3. This leaves us with these numbers left: Montreal - 15, 80, 90 Saskatchewan - 10, 15, 85, 90 PS - Because it will be cold, I am expecting a low-scoring ballgame. But a CFL game with 85 or 90 points is not unheard of when they go into overtime. Overtime in the CFL is like US college ball.
  4. They will all fail eventually. You have to expect that. No, this was within the first month. I've been browsing newegg's site, and it looks like there is a high failure rate in the first month or so, and very little after that. It looks to me like it would be wise to spend the extra ten dollars on the one-year extended warranty. Anybody have an opinion of iomega?
  5. medjuck, Carnivore already has Montreal and 25. See my post immediately before yours for the available numbers. The first year I attended a Canadian league game was 1976, and the Grey Cup that year featured Ottawa versus Saskatchewan. That was the game where Tony Gabriel caught the TD pass in the last minute. Ottawa does not have a team currently, but is expected to have one in 2013.
  6. This leaves us with five good numbers left: Montreal - 20, 80 Saskatchewan - 75, 80, 85
  7. Apparently there are two Canadian acts this year: Theory of a Deadman and Andree Watters & Suzie McNeil. http://greycup.cfl.ca/page/grey-cup-halftime
  8. I had an American Flyer train. My dad liked them better than Lionel because they didn't have the third rail and were therefore more realistic. Perhaps someone can tell us why the Lionels were so popular. Were they the first?
  9. When I was in high school, we were required to go to a performance of The Rivals. I enjoyed it. Twenty-five years ago I attended a party on business where the performer was Norm Crosby. I loved it! After the show, he met everyone, and I told him that he was my mother's favorite. He enjoyed hearing that.

  13. I see that the kickoff is scheduled for 6:32 pm eastern time, so that's what we'll make the deadline to play the contest. http://www.cfl.ca/article/edmonton-cold-snap-should-warm-up-for-grey-cup-sunday

  17. One of the few things I miss from my childhood is the downtown department store Christmas model train display.
  18. HBJ, you tiebreaker needs to be divisible by five! Canadian football is so different the American football, so 9.6. LOL! HBJ, I'll put you down as Montreal - 10!
  19. HBJ, you tiebreaker needs to be divisible by five!
  20. I'm now reading the latest Dashiell Hammett collection, called Lost Stories. It includes a biography of Hammett which discusses where Hammett was in his life when he wrote each story.
  21. OK Greg, I'm putting you down for Sask - 50.
