  1. Highly recommend the Mercer set!
  2. Is there a good cd compilation?
  3. Listened to the new Steve Miller band live release last night from 1977. Good sound for the era with a well chosen setlist. Fans will enjoy this.
  4. Howdy Cap,

Any chance I could get a wetransfer of your Getz project?

    Thanks

  5. Larry Coryell always gracious. No extended conversations but he listened to me.
  6. Disc 1 last night. Sounds much better than the 3 cd set from 1996. This band is on fire!
  7. hmmm..listened to the samples which sounded good. I've never been a fan of Desmond's but this might be a buy.
  8. Shipping notice from Udiscover just received!
  9. I ordered via UDiscover. Has anyone get a shipping notice from them?
  10. Mine showed up while on vacation. Shipping notice was in spam folder so didn't see it initially. What disc should I play first?
  11. Somebody grab the Dexter Select. Top Notch DG,IMO.
  12. I believe PM said they had discussed working again but nothing more, I guess due to his illness. As for his recent recordings, From this Place is terrific-his best recording in a while. The hr download is very dynamic.
  13. I have that IAJE cd-how I got it I don't know.
  14. Also a good review in today's Washington Post but let's be honest, his drug use exacerbated his other health issues. He was so terribly thin the one time I saw him that it was no surprise to read of his arrest. Sadly, another drug casualty.
  15. We saw Kenny Barron in bucolic Mt. Gretna PA on the 20th. He was in excellent form despite some sound issues. He was accompanied by a Japanese bassist and Jonathan Blake on percussion. Frankly, I would have rather seen a solo performance given how well he was playing. Nice to see live jazz again.
  16. Worth it as a starting place?
  17. New Charlie Miller of 3-19-77 Grateful Dead. Great show
  18. At that price I'll take a chance with udiscover.
  19. now $76.86 for the cd set. Guess I'm in.
  20. Always enjoy seeing him with the Cookers.
  21. $325 for the Carver (pdf manual available), $275 for the SVS 16-46pci and $200 for the Paradigm Monitor 11 v2. All of these are OBO. Local pickup/meetup in Washington DC metro area. Shipping might be work but would not be cheap. Direct email with any ? is jhw59 at hotmail.com
  22. Thanks Lon. I have a Jolida tube cd player I use for redbook playback generally.
