  1. They are not DVD-audio discs but DVD-video discs. So you'll need to play them on a DVD-V player. It all depends on the quality of your setup in this field if this is a sonic upgrade for you. I have the Esoteric SA-60 which also plays DVD-A, DVD-V (audio only) and they sound really great (much better than any RvG).
  2. already here on the other side of the ocean. Thanks again David!!!!
  3. Jim: I work out a Jazz Record store. Is it possible to get some cd's for the store to sell? Do you distribut them yourself? I've ordered one for myself of course!
  4. Just to inform the crowds....... I saw the listing which was not complete yet so up on the site in error. Next week the 2 will be up in glorious complete form!!!!!
  5. Just wondering Lon how far from complete are you with the big sets. Must be a real sport to collect them all.......
  6. And you both have plenty of OOP Mosaics too I assume!!!!
  7. $11 something at CD Universe.
  8. Aren't these Blue Note/EMI UK issues? They can do whatever they want without MC's approval. Don't think MC would let these come out as US reissues. BN US is just importing them for the US market.
  9. MODERATOR!!!!!!! (oh no need to be shouting they don't do anything anyway)
  10. if you think it's legitimet to ask for a cd-r not, but in my book it's not appropriate to do so.
  11. I guess you want to know who are in "his orchestra". So do I!
  12. I think this is great!!! I wish there was something like this over here in good old Europe. You are so lucky in the US to have these things. By the way are they "real" company manufactered cd's or do they have the BMG club like numbers and logo on them.
  13. Cluncky: not for Road Time!!!
  14. I guess that Universal Japan has copies of most of the back catalog as well. I know they have the 70's copies of all the Blue Note material on file over there so they might have the others as well.
  15. It will be studio only I've been told. The Newport sessions are still available on Japanese cd's.
  16. I'm really into BS&T and Chicago at the moment so I'll ignore your advise (at least some of it) and buy the set (in loving memory of good old Bill as well).
  17. What crash? Am I right to assume (based on the sound bites I found) it's a bit Chicago meets Blood, Sweat and Tears kind of music?
  18. Chuck: How can I prove anything you didn't do? Normally you are the first to comment on such behaviour but as you said this time you didn't because of the facts you state above. So if one has a personal benifit it's ok to do things and get away with it but otherwise not. Not very consequent imo. But OK I don't mind him posting anything it's just typical and I was curious but please let it rest and move on.......
  19. How nice to read your own thoughts back again!!! Thanks Shrink for putting them in ink.
  20. OK but are we a selling board? of the 45 postings 40 are about selling cd's and 5 about shipping. Not my kind of contribution to a board and sell some (private) overstock occasionally. But he's a friend of Chuck so he can do it while others are slashed after one or two postings in this manner.......strange
  21. WorldB3: is that the june or the may issue of Jazz Times.
  22. If I remember correctly this was never issued. It's available on vinyl though but without the bonus tracks.
  23. removed the thing before it get's out of hand.......
