Thanks Dan for clearing that up. I mean this: I put a DVD in the DVD-Rom drive of my iMac and then a program will copy the audio portion of the DVD only to the hard drive for me to do whatever I like doing with it!! Again help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks but the version I'd download couldn't rip the audio from a DVD. Any other suggestions?

Is there also a program available for the Apple Mac?

I would say the discs are worthless but the booklet surely is worth at tleat $50.

Hello all, don't know if this is covered already but what do you guys/dolls think of Stefano's latest Blue Note (France) CD? I happened to attend the second day of the recording session in Paris (MC was producing it and The Hague-Paris isn't the end of the world so I thought why not....). Eric Harland, Baptiste Tottignon on Organ and Russel Malone were great to watch and hear in a studio setting. Fabrizio Bosso was only present at day one so I misse dhim but his solo on Midnight Blue is somethin' else! I really like this CD. Nothing new or unexpected but simply great playing and tunes. Go to iTunes and download the 2 extra track as well. The Mission is really great and one of my all time Battista favorite.

Harland is incredible. Last sunday I saw the SF Collective in Amsterdam and needless to say they smoked!!! Saw them last year too at the North Sea Jazz Festival (great!). I was also present at the recording session for Stefano di Battista's last CD with Harland and that was cool.

Surely you can't take clem too seriously at all!!!!

Hello all, is there anyone on this board (or beyond) who has even seen the 2 Three Sounds CD's EMI South Africa has put out in the 90's? They are listed in the Ruppli/Cuscuna discography but I wasn't able to get them anywhere. MC doesn't have them either.

They use the US Fantasy remasters.

I'm sure the Steig LP won't be included so it will fit nicely.

I've tried eBay, all the Amazon's and Google but apart from the ones I already have I can't fand any. Since I'm going to NYC in April maybe there are second hand book stores over there I should try. Any help would be appreciated!

I count about 9 LP's with this trio.

I can confirm it has all the sessions with Fournier and Crosby so also live and with orchestral backing.

Andy: and those 85% they will release includes the 5% you didn't have so you need to buy it anyway! I suspect Ahmad himself has some say in this so he probably want's only this material out. And the set will be manageable in size (5 CD's I think).
