I would rent a car and drive down the Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Cruz. Some of the most breathtaking beautiful scenery on the planet. You can also make stops along the way - there are some great tidal pools south of Carmel that are fun to explore. I'm not sure how far Hearst Castle is from Santa Cruz but if you have the time I would definitely make plans to visit it. *According to a map I found Hearst Castle is only 92miles/148KM(or about 1 & 1/2 hours driving time) away from Monterey so it's pretty close.

Maybe...I was surprised to hear that Queen wasn't mad that Wayne's World used the song for the movie and an accompanying video that spliced in the original music video with cuts of Wayne and Garth. In any case I thought it was a fun tribute on the 18th anniversary of the man's death. I didn't know about the anniversary connection. Yes, you're right. It makes sense now.

J.H., any rumblings about Philadelphia in the market? Or what they're looking at in general for their pitching rotation next year? No rumors. They did just sign Juan Castro as a back up middle infielder. They need a 3rd baseman since they declined to pick up the option on Feliz. As far as the PR goes it's looking like Lee, Hamels, Happ, ?, Moyer. Kyle Drabek will compete for a starting spot. I haven't heard anything about Pedro returning. I would love to see them get Halladay but being the Phillies they won't. A local writer pointed out that out of the 171 FAs this year only 10 are under the age of 30! Additionally there are 60 FAs over 35 and 11 over 40.

Just as long as he doesn't end up w/ either NY team I'll be happy.

That show was hilarious. My college sweetheart was a contestant on it and won. She then got 9 out of the 10 videos for the bonus round. The one she missed was a video by a band called "The Cutting Crew" - hadn't heard of them before that day or since.
