  1. Well at least a used copy of Sonny's Time Now has dropped $49.99
  2. Yes, this is what I was trying to gauge, thanks. If anyone else has an opinion, please jump in. I think everything was in print except for the McLean, Willette and the Moncur. With RVG editions, I've noticed in most cases, this drives the prices down on previously OOP cds not up.
  3. My copy of Duke Pearson's Wahoo has the back cover label affixed upside down. My copy of Jackie's Right Now! has two back slicks glued on the cardboard backcover. Grachan's name was also misspelled as "Gracham" on the front cover of Herbie's My Point of View.
  4. I'll second this. Absolutely love the sextet tracks on this album! Of the countless sessions released under Tyner's name, this one and "The Real McCoy" (Blue Note) are two of the essential Tyner. Third the sextet tracks. Have the GRP edition with the bonus cuts which are good, but not nearly as good as the first three tracks.
  5. Love The Pixies and Kim Deal's The Breeders too.
  6. Don't think its been mentioned by I also really dig David Holland and Barre Phillips' Music From Two Basses.
  7. Geroge Lopez Show reruns. Some pretty funny stuff there.
  8. I'm a particular fan of William Parker and Alan Silva's arco playing, especially Wm's solo disk Lifting the Sanctions and Alan's duo disk with Thomas, Transmissions.
  9. Reminds me how much Billy Higgins did on Jackie's Let Freedom Ring with just a snare, hi-hat and ride cymbal (I think). Edit to fix terms.
  10. I'll take a stab at it, based on your criteria. Maybe Rush, beginning with 2112 and ending with maybe Signals or so. Also, perhaps The The up to Mind Bomb, or The Replacements up to about Please to Meet Me or Tim. All opinion of course.
  11. WOOOAAHHHH!!!! Way Cool!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for posting!
  12. Happy birthday Bill!
  13. Would anyone consider these albums tributes (well, mostly tribute albums)? Marion Brown-Three for Shepp Archie Shepp-Four for Trane

    Don Cherry

I think the BN trilogy is in order.
  15. Get better Tom, I hope it's nothing terribly serious. Usually every fall, I get a cold and even after the main symptoms subside, I have a nagging cough that usually takes up to two months to shake. Once that pasts, I'm good, until I get sick again.
  16. My cd copy of Cecil Taylor's "Silent Tongues" on Freedom has a picture of Andrew Hill inside the booklet that they used for the "Spiral" reissue!
  17. I don't know if you know who won SS1, but I don't want to spoil it for you if you don't.
  18. Happy belated birtday!
  19. Man, just read this, I hope you're feeling better!
  20. OH HELL YEAH!!! Huge Phil Ivey fan! If he wins, he'd definitely deserve it!
