  1. I loved J. J. Johnson's "Lament". I think I'm going to pull out my J. J. Johnson Mosaic when I get home from work to unwind. Also giggled at Lazaro's "sansabelt" reference when intro'ing Senor Buffet.
  2. Happy Birthday ...
  3. Belated Happy Birthday Mark! Hope it was a fun one!
  4. A Belated Happy Birthday to you!! Sounds like you had a great day with the kids.
  5. I'm so sorry to hear about this. Dealing with something like this with your child is always scary, especially when you are so far away. Great advice about her not talking excessively (or at all ) to the police. Hang in there.
  6. Happy Birthday Paul!!! May your day be as beautiful as your music...
  7. The Eagles fans should focus their frustration on the kicker. If he does his job, the refs aren't an issue.
  8. I'm already wondering how I'll get through the day tomorrow until tomorrow's episode, not to mention getting through the work week until next week...and we still have 45 minutes to go in tonight's episode! It's crack...
  9. Happy Birthday!!
  10. Happy Birthday Patricia! Sounds like you are having a good day. Enjoy!!
  11. I truly cannot remember the last season's finale -- it's been so long ago. Can someone give me a reader's digest version? I liked the prequel, also. I wanted to slap the creepy guy with the sideburns who was trying to subpoena Jack. Who wears sideburns like that? Creepy guys, that's who. I will be watching tomorrow night and discussing at work on Monday!
  12. Joe makes a mean scrambled egg. He's always finding great things to add; my favorite being scrambled eggs with kale, red pepper, onion, asiago cheese (and maybe a little garlic?). The kale is done to pefection, just before the wilting point, and the cheese adds just the right bite. He toasts some artisan type bread which is really good with the eggs. I also like when he whips up scrambled egg, red pepper, onion, monterey jack cheese, served between two warm corn tortillias with a little salsa (pineapple is my favorite). I could eat those all day long. His pancakes are awesome, too. He does them just right on a cast iron griddle. I remember the first time I had the eggs a la suisse-- the aroma from the freshly grated swiss cheese was heavenly, and the eggs were perfect. They truly are wonderful. The reisling at breakfast made for a nice early afternoon nap, too.
  13. When they go on Saturday Night Live and *not* lipsync I will pay more attention.
  14. Thank you. (obviously not a fan here). What bugs me the most about this is their "Sting-like" megalomania.
  15. However, George Harrison was found to have 'unconsciously' copied the Shirelles' "He's so fine" with his "My Sweet Lord" and the only similarity to those two songs is just a phrase. I don't believe Coldplay set out to copy Satriani; yes, it could be coincidental, but so was Harrison's. Even if it's a 'catchy phrase', who owns the copyright? I bet this gets settled and you won't hear anything else about it. typo
  16. no question.
  17. At least say you're going to have some wacky eccentric infused vodka.
  18. I feel a "Throw-Down" coming on!!! Free, you spoke of making popovers and a roux. Most men wouldn't even begin to know how to use roux in a sentence. Extra points for that. You also play trombone... that's hot. Feel better?
  19. and he's homicidal, not suicidal.
  20. Happy Happy !!
