Oh Flurin, I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. The loss of a pet is traumatic, but especially so when you don't get the chance to say good-bye. I hope that in time your pain will be replaced by the precious memories of the time you spent with her. Please give our best to your girlfriend, also.

Yes, please don't stay away too long and keep us updated as you feel the need to vent. When the board was 'closing down', one of my first thoughts was ' I may never read a post from Jazzmoose or Catesta again--that just can't be!' I missed you when you took a breather when Moose passed and was so happy that you came back. I'm sorry that you're going through this horrible situation and wish for you a light at the end of the tunnel very soon. When you're going through one of your roughest days, just remember that we all here you and will be waiting for your return as well as Avatar Moose...

I don't remember ever believing in Santa as a child, either. I just couldn't fathom how it was possible for him to fit down the chimney let alone fly through the sky and cover the entire world in one night. I loved the story of Santa and we all played along with leaving the cookies and milk, but I always knew it was fantasy. Either that or I couldn't figure how he could possibly move the piano that was sitting in front of our non-working fireplace.

Cinnamon in choc. chip cookies is the best. Joe's mom makes hands down the best choc. chip cookies I have tasted *ever* in my lifetime, and she does the cinnamon thing. (She adds another ingredient that I won't divulge in case it's a secret). They're like crack. I can't get enough... It must run in the family; Joe's terrific and very creative in the kitchen.

Obviously I was only joking around. There seemed to be no better time and opening for a BS line like that so I went with it. Tom Storer I know what you're saying, but I was just kind of testing the waters. Under different circumstances I would probably have used this smilie. Rachel recognized the funny and responded accordingly. No doubt she has been paying attention to the "what's for dinner" thread and knows I'm doing most if not all of the cooking at my place. As a trade off though, my lady does indeed iron my shirts. Fair is fair. It was precisely Catesta's timing and the use of that had me doing an involuntary spit take. I do see Tom's point, also, but it was hilarious *because* it was so over the top. I am very familiar with Catesta's humor (don't ever change!) and saw the irony of the post because he is such a fabulous cook, but I can't imagine any woman taking that line seriously and not seeing it for what it was... a perfectly timed one liner. I'm still giggling when I re-read it.
