I'm a US supporter and think they don't get all they deserve as I mentioned before but they are NOT the sixth best team. I would guess they are somewhere between 10 and 15 MAYBE. Besides the usual powerhouses that should be ahead of them, there are some strong European sides that don't get the credit they deserve either. Denmark (just ask the English) and Poland (remember WC 2002) as well as others. The African teams have been improving as well.

I've seen some US press saying it is unrealistic to expect the US to repeat their performance of 2002. I understand this time it's not on "neutral" Asian soil and I remember how they needed help from the Koreans to squeak out of the first round but I think they could reach the later rounds. The first point, however, is the US is a team whose success will rely on the draw of the tournament. If they end up in a tough group. They will probably bow out early. With the proper group pairing, I think they will grow in confidence into the later rounds and could pull off some upsets. I think most teams still don't give the US enough credit. Both the individual players who are in foreign leagues (How does Landon Donovan not get playing time in the Bundesliga?) and as a team. This may give the US a chance to suprise some people. I think other countries look at the US brand of soccer and think it's inferior. It is different and previously was inferior but now it's just different. The US is physical and I think US players are more fit and able to play at a higher pace for longer than some teams who have more skill. I think Mexico's strong showing at the Confederation Cup should also give the US confidence and let the world know CONCACAF is playing better soccer these days. Mexico beat the US in Mexico City in their last meeting but prior to that the US has played the Mexicans well all the way back to the World Cup of 2002.

I too enjoyed it quite a bit. Obviously not "reality" but quite funny. Some nice moments with the Chancellor and the band leaders where Tommy is on the spot. Even my 5 year old kept asking "Why is that guy gulping so much?" Of course there were many other questions such as "Why does he have so many tattoos? Why is he not playing the drums too good? Why is he wearing those funny clothes?" And she only saw the show for a minute when she came downstairs while I was watching.

Got my copy today! Now I can stop staying up until 2am hoping the next tune on www.radioio.com will be an Organissimo tune I haven't heard yet. Well, my initial assessment from the samples holds true. Honestly, a GREAT, GREAT disc. Every tune well done. I think the trademark Organissimo Ying and Yang of Jim and Joe is still intact but Joe's Yang is bit Yingier. (Out of context, that one could cause trouble for both of us.) When people were commenting about the second half being stronger I had my doubts. I had heard Wealthy Street several times and Smokin' Section as well. Being a greazer I thought I would probably like the first half better but there is some serious playing throughout. I LOVE it! Joe, my initial comments about you were only reinforced the more I heard. The growth is amazing. Your hard work and practice are paying off HUGELY! I don't know if I ever heard what your day job was but you can tell them on Monday that you'll be taking some time off and may never come back! Root Doctor should be auditioning B3 players as well. You guys should be going places very soon. If other organ trios aren't crapping their pants about THIS IS THE PLACE they are definitely worried about the next Organissimo release. Organissimo are definitely taking it to higher levels.

I too pull for Spain. I'm not sure why. They frustrate me to no end with their inconsistent play. One game beautiful the next dismal.
