  1. I've tried a few of his recent ECM discs and was bored by all of them. No thanks. Greg, his earlier releases are much better IMHO. His duo recordings with Sam Rivers are outstanding.
  2. I always preferred DG's BN recordings over his Steeplechase & Prestige. Go! Is definitely one of BN best. Our Man in Paris is another favorite of mine so I'll give both of them a spin this weekend.
  3. RIP Mr. Ferguson.
  4. This is one of my Redman's favorite recordings.
  5. Martial Solal is celebrating his birthday today. He is 79 and I wish him good health and all the best.

  7. My condolences to the family. Any idea how old was marc???
  8. You are absolutely right but they recorded two albums together. Needless to say that both recommended.

  12. I always knew I can trust you.
  13. Any opinion on the "Classic Capitol Jazz Sessions"? This is one Mosaic that seems to almost never get talked about in this forum. Or maybe I've missed the discussions?
  14. How do you like this one??
  15. Last week I ordered this one: Solal with bassist Marc Johnson and drummer Paul Motian.
  16. Good investment, Evan. I'm thinking about the Classic Capitol Jazz Sessions .
  17. RIP Mr. Jordan.

    Jack DeJohnette

Please correct me if I'm wrong but if I remember correctly, Jack DeJohnette is also a very talented pianist.
  19. I like his recordings with Lester Young on Aladdin. Any recommendation as a leader???
  20. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making me aware of this release. My pleasure. I hope you got the 4 CDs set (complete recording).
