Hi All, for those who regularly buy from german Amazon should have a look here although a lot of Sony crap but also roughly 100 Blue notes for some 7€ each. So if you have to much money and no idea where to spend it.... Cheers, Tjobbe

sorry Nate for joining the discussion so late, but I struggled (and still do so) with the balance between work and the rest of my living, not allowing me too much of private life (and unfortunately not listening to much music), but I put your BT14 into my CarCDP and try to get track by track there... you know what fuzzles me is that the only track (#14) I immeadiately identified is the ABBA one (Winner takes it all), but what does that say about my personal taste... ... anyway... will give it a thorough try tonite and report my findings... Cheers, Tjobbe

Darmstadt is not the worst idea although it lacks in regards of class compared to Ohhh, Paris... if I'm not off because of my job, there should be no probs for me attending, 2h drive thats it... cheers, Tjobbe @sitewinder: check if there a cheapo flights with Ryanair to Hahn which might be beside Frankfurt itself the closed link. -
ups Zero out of them .... Cheers, Tjobbe

Why don't we leave the fathers of happy jazz (aka smooth) out of this? .. you can "ignore them" but still they sold a lot of records and it is a contrast to what the others have done/were doing. I guess for a lot of "non-hard core jazzer" this IS fusion... For completeness I believe it should be mentioned (as it shouldn't be an I like that and this I do dislike thingie or ?) Cheers, Tjobbe

ups....the Fellini712 is missing... , needed to make a decision when selecting an amount of discs that my wife already classified as "TOO MUCH " but its still on my wishlist.... Cheers, Tjobbe

Hi, I would say you should cover three areas of fusion: a ) the Miles Davis root where the Bitches Brew plus few followers of his former team mades should be covered who were looking for something beyond Post Bop b ) the european style ECM likes that encorporated different sounds c ) the more "pop/stylish fusion" players like the Grover W. and Chuck Mangiones, the GRP's and DMP's that got very popular in mid 70s until end of the 80's Cheers, Tjobbe

... this track reminds me of the fact that you should not buy new CD's before not all previous buys have been unpacked and listen to before... did that last night -_- . That Solal Poinciana: any indication on which available in print CD this is one ? (EDIT: I found this this one here at JPC.de) Thx a lot Daniel ! Cheers from another victim of Mikes BT-Rules, Tjobbe P.S. what about track #12... it still runs im CarCDP

again a little bit late in putting my thoughts in here, so in general I enjoyed that disc pretty much Daniel ! #1 sounds like a Gillespie one... no clue who's playing but it reminds me of some Paquito D'rivera one heard recently #2 no clue although I believe I know the tune #3 ... #4 Poinciana.... check my Jamal "Digital Works" but thtis one sounds a little bit older .... #5 I like it .. but no clue #6 thought of big Oscar P. .... #7 sounded like some Pop tune with a Chicago like Brass section and some good swinging Jazz in the middle .. will have a another look at that later #8 Maiden Voyage.... #9
... need to have a second look at #11 not mine... #12 initially I though of Rickie Lee Jones finally doing real Jazz and playing like Diana Krall accompanied by a Frank Foster/Count Basie Bigband in the middle...lt sounded great.. a must have #13,#14 need to check again #15... funny but no clue Cheers, Tjobbe
