  1. so.. checked my stuff and I can offer for now: a) Heiner Stadler Jazz Alchemy (Tomato, 1989) b) Dave Brubeck ..plays Brubeck (Columbia, 1998) c) Cannonball Adderley ... Something ELse (RvG, 1999) I would send to US without the Jewelcases (in a hard paper sleeve) as its significantly cheaper than normal .... First Come, first serve Cheers, Tjobbe EDIT: one -on hold as I need to double check if its really a duplicate - but I might have a Spanish Blue Note here to go: Stylings of Silver - Horcace Silver (with a TOCJ on it) so if anyone want to grab this....
  2. Hi Rooster, would you mind if I grab the Destination Out (how have I missed that so far) and Joe Lovano -- Universal Language (BN, 1993)... (maybe going with my BT25 disk) Cheers, Tjobbe hey.. what a nice idea ! and I have at least three that I will post later ..
  3. no ! B-) we are not funny over here, and Street Carneval is over, ....we are getting damn serious afterwards... @mike: no his eyes had a differnt colour.... Cheers, Tjobbe
  4. as with many of you Vince Guarladi (and my addiction hasn't changed that much), the Charlie Brown shows in early 70s German TV were a starter as well as my farther owning some Swing LP's and an original LP from Dave Brubecks Impressions of Eurasia which I listened to as a kid. My first self paid Jazz LP was Pat Metheny's white "Group" album in 1978/79 when it came out.... Cheers, Tjobbe
  5. am I late Mike.... Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag.... Cheers, Tjobbe

    Jan Garbarek

Garbarek is a kind of a mixed bag for me, I really love some of his late 70 early 80. work, specially the trios he recorded with Charlie Haden end brasilien Egberto Gismonti for ECM, and some of late 90's stuff wars rather boaring, so its not that I would miss his records on a lonely tropical island.... Cheers, Tjobbe
  7. Hi Rooster, I had trouble with coping the BT23 Disk two having 79:50 run time in total because I needed to do a "create image" inbetween due to not having two drives in my Laptop for play and burn. So in case you would want someone like me for europe/german distribution in BT25, I might prefer having max 79:00, as the store-image command adds at least 20sec worth of data. For BT23-D2, I did some reformatting and spread disk two onto another disk... (allowing me to add some track, so the recipients have not complaint ...yet) Cheers, Tjobbe
  8. mhh, The Clash have been named already, but has someone named Paul Weller and his bands....and also my favourite Rock Band: Cheers, Tjobbe

    New EST album.

Hi Che, I have it since a while as SACD (available right now in Germany only).... its not that I would die if I wouldn't have it.. Listened to it twice meanwhile, its solid and what you expect from them....not more, not less.. I'm sometime missing some remarkable hooks that make me want to listen to it more often. Cheers, Tjobbe
  12. Jazz lowers my available income.... Cheers, Tjobbe
  13. I'm in PAris on MOnday (but for 5h only)....anyone else B-) , other option... Washington around the 8th March.... Cheers, Tjobbe
  14. any clue what they charge you for S&H to Europe (germany to be precise ) Cheers, Tjobbe
  15. I guess that's truely a fake as I last week send some parcel to friends with German Postal Services to Lübeck and by mistake I did the Number wrong so instead of 51 I wrote 1 only and the package went back to me within 2days.... so they are fast but not that accurate. I suspect that they have tried to deliver it first to Austria but that H-Politian has refused it...B-) Cheers, Tjobbe
  16. Hi, there is some sampler out called Mambo Sangria containing two of the Skye albums containing the Tjader Plugs in as well as the Solar heat. The sound is ok, the package itself does not caintain any information beside the 18 track names themselve. It should be availble quite cheap; on BOA 1010 according to Doug Payne's Website. I guess the quality of the DCC should be better but they seems harder to get. Not sure if the LATIN + JAZZ = CAL TJADER Hybird-SACD by Audio Fidelity is still in print but that would be another one to go for. Oh...I already have it B-) Cheers, Tjobbe
  17. SA-CD list this as hybrid, means playable on a regular CD-P when selecting the Red-Book layer... Cheers, Tjobbe
  18. mhh I often considered to buy at Caimans via Amazon.de but I always got most of the stuff cheaper if bought directly in US via I-Shops. I sometimes had the feeling that they have some linkage to the FLorida based guys from CDPACIFIC where I get most of my CD/SACDs from. So right now they -CDPACIFIC- always got me the CD's I wanted as well as they charge my CC only when really shipping the goods as wells as having quite low shipping fares. (and I got burned by those pre-paid stuff when the Yersey SplashDVD went bankrupt, so I do not really want to do this again) Cheers, Tjobbe
  19. guess its hard to find any obscure record that you don't have (so will try harder next time) Cheers, Tjobbe
  20. just sold my old German OJC on ebay as the new SACD is definetely better. Attached a larger (but not sharper Photo of this)... oh and yes, I liked the cover with Cal on much more
  21. I know what you mean ......so if you have only one drive and you would need to use a CD-disc-image, don't try it. oh.. count me in Cheers, Tjobbe
  22. thanks Dana .... but where do I get that Sharrock now from... Cheers, Tjobbe
  23. for the german/swiss Big-O communitiy, your BT23 CD's are getting burned now (five copies right now) and I hope I can distribute them Saturday. Cheers, Tjobbe
  24. I'm ready within the next 2-3 weeks, so I can step in in case needed Cheers, Tjobbe
  25. books, more books,.. to much books ah and some DVD's and old fashiooned Laserdiscs... Cheers, Tjobbe
