  1. just a short pre-alert: there is a sixth 10CD set coming out in France on 29th October and its currently on pre-order at amazon.fr for 37€... Not sure about what it contains, as I haven't seen anywhere else any notice about it... Cheers, Tjobbe EDIT: HERE the link
  2. I might revitilize this thread for those from Yrp that still show interest in good old technologies... Amazon.co.uk seems to have a lot of those CD Boxes from Atlantic records on sale for some quite attractive price as e.g. Complete Atlantic John Coltrane 42 GBP (as well on Vinyl for 70GBP, so maybe Bob has some money left over ) Complete Atlantic Mingus 38 GBP Complete Atlantic Coleman 44 GBP Complete Atlantic Ray Charles 70 GBP (if I have got that correctly) I guess that goes along with the current sale of the individual CD series sale in Yrp. They even have some Rock/Pop stuff on sale where I believe I now get me the Little Feat Hotcakes and Outtakes box set as I just received my T&L refund from the last 4 month payed in one batch. There might be even more interesting things but I just only went there to look up some electronic gadget. Have fun, Oliver

  6. just a question: are those the RvG re-masters and are they Copy Controlled Cheers, Oliver
  7. few words about the label as far as I can get it: the label owner is a german musician called Knut Kiesewetter who even recorded some "Jazz-a-like" stuff like THIS here. That mentioned label should basically server for himself releasing music but as well for other local acts coming from the norther german area attached to the dutch border...called Friesland (partially located in the Netherlands as well as in Germany) WHY there are two Jazz records obviously having no relationship to Kiesewetter as musician... no clue You can get records of that label through german jpc.de website but only those from Kiesewetter himself. Hope that helps for now.... Cheers, Oliver EDIT: some more data (unfortunately in German only here: http://www.knutkiesewetter.de/lifeline.html)

  10. to what I got so far is that Lynne was working with Tom Petty on that recording....so basically that's why that track "Saving Grace" sounded familiar to me....
  11. got that on ebay today Cheers, Tjobbe
  12. no, haven't heard but I recently heard a song on the radio that I thought would be from the Dylan, sounded great, great slide guitar...a bit more leaning to the rock'n roll side.. wow, I immeadiately liked ...until I finally found out that it is from the new Tom Petty CD....which is now on my wishlist instead..sorry Bob, try next time Cheers, Tjobbe

  15. a quite good and comprehensive overview gets you that Pablo 4CD box released in 1997 that contains all blends of Pass. For a long time (Beside some stuff he did as Peterson sideman) that was all I needed... I'm not 100% sure if that is still in print but I believe it helps for a good start... Cheer, Oliver
  16. Just for Information: the european Universal Gillespie Mosaic is now showing up at amazon.de and jpc.de. Price tag right now at jpc.de for the 7CD box set is 80€ while amazon still charges the recommended retail price of 96€ Cheers, Tjobbe

For those regulars checking the German www.zweitausendeins.de website, here some offers they just put on the web site: - some 4€ cheap Sony/Columbia/CTI single disc CD's with lot of Miles and some nice 70's Fusion stuff from Stanley Clarke and alikes - not sure if all but some 7€ new Prestige RvG's - in total 72 of those Atlantic Jazz series CD's for 7€ incl Coltrane and Ornette Coleman as well as some Charles Mingus. - Some Universal re-issues as well for 7€ from Brasilian Emarcy branch..(not sure which are good, so maybe some expert can have a look...hey Marcus, what about you ) and those Impulse Best of's (not that I'm personally looking for them) ....still no sign of the Henderson Milestone box set... Cheers, Tjobbe
