  1. For Germany, Universal already announced to take over the catalgue into their offering but theý have not yet announce when they will officially supply the older material but all new Concord records are distributed by them already. reads as: we will be presenting the records of the said labels in 2006....so right now, no reason to worry. (from their website www.jazzecho.de) cheers, Tjobbe
  2. I can only say: go get it....one of the best set's and an underrated one. Cheers, Tjobbe
  3. Hi Daniel, you should in any case try to get the Verve Two-fer of the All Blues/Sax No end MPS sessions.Specially the Sax No End to me is by far the most dynamic session the CBBB did. Not sure about it but you can still get that at jpc.de and I do as well have one spare copy . @brownie: the TNP 2-fer you refer is the one recorded at 29th ? I got that on (German) Laserlight and it sounds reasonable to me. Cheers, Tjobbe
  4. The Coltrane for sure is a big box, the Tatum I doubt that this was released in big box format at all, as having the previously sold Tatum Group box and that had been a small box with small sized booklet only. The music still is fine and worth buying. I'm expecting my delivery to be here early next week incl the MJQ one. EDIT: the Oscar is small sized anyway. The "Record Story" boxes..don't know, I haven't seen them yet and I'm not sure if I should get them as with the Peterson having anyway to much of him in my collection. Cheers, Tjobbe
  5. Hi dear 2001 Box set maniacs ! As I was offline for a while on business trip to Asia (with very limited access to online resources) I've seen that you found the good news from 2001 already yourselve with the Coltrane obvioulsy no longer listed online. I'm happy that most of you are now able to pefectly buy goods in german online stores For those who might have overlooked this (500887as par tnumber when directly entered to the card ) here for a crazy 5€ to go.... Cheers, Tjobbe
  6. so lets all praise the Concord take-over and its impact on the German Fantasy record distributor change Finally it has some positive impact on all Jazz fans Cheers, Tjobbe
  7. For those frightend about the famous ZYX remasters... as long as you don't go for any of those 2,99€ ones, the others are, although Printed in Germany, based on the orginal Fantasy US masters and packaged at least to what I received so far the same way. Cheers, Tjobbe
  8. yes you're right, some to mention: the two last Bill Evans 8CD box Sets there is one quite reasonable Ella Fitzgerald 4CD box as well (Called The Concert Years that is covering the later period on Pablo) as well as some US mastered Pablo single CD studio recordings some three Ellington (EDIT, sorry:)....at Carnegie Hall 2fers 1944/46/47 and a pricy 4CD Box covering Basie on Pablo (called The golden years covering 1972-1983) as non-jazz, I guess someone already mentioned the two Stax Vol.2/3 boxes as well as they seemed to have the CCR Vinyl box on sale as well as the Booker T. 3 CD longbox called Time is tight. Cheers, Tjobbe EDIT: in case some is interested in Blues: the 1991 7CD The Complete Prestige/Bluesville Recordings of Lightnin' Hopkins is available for a steal ( exactly 20€)
  9. this here is on the Dizzy Savoy Odyssey 3-fer and this is on the Savoy The Modern 2-fer Cheers, Tjobbe
  10. as said Stefan, I can send out two sets to mike and dizzy tomorrow if you want. let me know if thats ok. Cheers, Tjobbe
  11. I got my second replacement last Friday (BTW: Thx a lot Stefan !) Mike: shall I send you a copy tomorrow ? Cheers, Oliver
  12. it seems that 2001 has taken out -from the visible online catalog at least- all the overstock from ZYX and aligned this with the printed catalogue "Merkheft"...but as Alfred mentioned the "direct hit" might still work. seems this appearance has been a rather "defect" introduced after the new WebSite layout went online than being an indented sales effort... Thanks folks for great bargain ! Cheers, Tjobbe
  13. Hi my dear Fantasy box set friends who enjoy the 2001 sell out of the ZYX stock... for those of you who do believe not to have enough Bill Evans Recordings in their collection and always wanted to get the CONSECRATION and the Last Waltz... Go To the well known shop.... 30€ for each box should be not that bad. Cheers, Oliver
  14. Hi, I guess you should try to enter the article numbers directly into the "Bestellzettel" as I believe due to low stock they do not show up. Cheers, Tjobbe
  15. I received the Universal 3CD Jazz In Paris 10*10" box as birthday present but as I have it already, it doesn't make much sence to stock two of them just for bad days. The box is unplayed and still shrink-wrapped and I would give it away for 22€ (which seems to be the Caiman price) plus shipping, which -due to shipping costs to US- limits the audience probably to Europe only. S&H would be 9€ unregistered with DHL. please let me know via PM when you're interested. Payment via IBAN/BIC or Paypal possible. Cheers, Tjobbe EDIT: I would be willing to trade as well if you can offer some "interesting" things in return
  16. Good morning Reinier, I've only auditioned some MF gear (incl some NuVista CD-P) but did that just for fun 2 years ago. In terms of quality of the MF its the goodie itself and the way it looks and sits there in the rack... it definetely looks worth every money for the Look&feel, promised. The other side: sonic's... I liked the regular NuVista CD-P quite well but never really compared it one-on-one so i cannot really judge on that. All-in-all I always "liked" the newer sound they produce as it is not that mellow as the old class-A amps they had in the 80's. Hope that helps a bit... Cheers, Tjobbe
  17. Have a great day (or better the rest of it )! Cheers, Tjobbe
  18. I tried disk one in CD-P and the TOC was readable but only Track1 and part of track 2 is spoiled so I can give it a try already: #Track2 - is ok for me....a rather expressive Tenor... he has definetely heard J.McLean # Track3... i heard it recently on a Jazz in Paris one, possible Eddy Louiss with Bohemia after dark. fine disc and fine musician BTW. #Track4... is this from the Jazz Crusaders Mosaic ...sounds a bit like like it with the trombone # track5.. no clue yet # track6 .. from the instrumentation I would believe this to be Grant Green on guitar.... #track7&8...no clue yet #Track9 I like this very much and I'm sure I know it from somewhere...will dig into this further but if I shouldn't have, it gets on my want list. #Track 10 a rather Arranger type piece here. wild guess: An Oliver Nelson arrangement ???? # Track 11: no real clue, nicely swinging and a great trombone ! I will post more later specially when having the other disc in hands and can listen to track1 as well. All in all some I really like and none I would dislike. Fine compilation Stefan ! Cheers, Tjobbe
  19. Same here the week before. paid my due's already and can only agree with Paul's intro as describing my thoughts as well. Its a great place to openly exchange idea's about music, culture and personal and politcal thoughts beyond "local borders" Thx Guys !
  20. Is this the 'big box' version? don't think so, the picture does seems to indicate it to be rather the CD sized one allthough the regular ZYX sale appraisal talks about a 45 page booklet coming with the box. Cheers, Tjobbe Cheers, Tjobbe
  21. Zweitausendeins? no, its needed for the Crusaders , those 2001 are rather an accident
