  1. yeah Mr. Weil.. you already have or have heard one where he plays as leader...you own/listened to a later one that I do rate higher but have therefore not chosen it would you believe when I say I've chosen that for you mhh, I deleted it, hasn't matched... it was Newport theme from his last re-release issued at Vince's son D&D label....
  2. Hi Daniel, I do not know those liner notes, but when checking the both new booklets, there is no reference on the Ryska one as well as both are in swedish only (not an issue for you I know ) The Ryska one doesn't have any additional information beside the generic bio, a short written intro and the line-up as well as recording data (that the two-fer does not contain). So basically the add-value is the MP3 cut-out section and the alternate takes as well the improved sound (haven't compared the Ryska yet...., still some new unheard ones on the stock pile) Cheers, Tjobbe
  3. I got both new re-issues meanwhile from Swedish cdon.com and the Jazz par Svenska sounds really good to me. Although my swedish is lousy (close to nothing ) I enjoyed that mp3 as well as ALL cut outs for the tracks. Cheers, Tjobbe
  4. ok, in that case I'll resubmit some, Marty (guess the one for BM to FL has also not been arrived) They'll go out today or tomorrow ! Cheers, Tjobbe
  5. good luck Randy and I'm in. Mail to follow ....
  6. maybe that's routed via Bogota or even worse Havana..... So the recommendation for next compilers is: send the FL ones one week ahead. Cheers, Tjobbe
  7. should have put it into your mailbox late yesterday personally Cheers, tjobbe

    Enja Reissues

I'm not sure if those are re-issues or simply specially priced sale items back on catalog as some of them have been on sale thoughout the last months in some german Online shops. (jpc/2001) When looking at some german online shops, none of those is listed here as being re-released so I assume they are just available in the US within the backlog catalogue. Cheers, Tjobbe
  12. Hi Mike, on the two-fer, you'll do only do have the release date of the original material noted as 1984, thats all, no further date. The liner notes say that Gary Foster plays on all seven tracks. Cheers, Tjobbe
  13. Hi Mike, I only have the two-fer Cool fire where Good Vibes appears as disc2. The liner notes does state Recorded Live at the Concord Jazz Festival, Concord Pavilion, Concord, CA If you need more information.. let me know. Cheers, Tjobbe EDIT: Mark Levine (p), Rob Fisher (b), Vince Lateano (dr), Poncho Sanchez (cg), Gary Foster (fl), Roger Glenn (fl, per) only on Doxy, Cuban Fantasy, Good vibes
  14. Hi all, tomorrow the last discs will leave Cologne so you can expect them to arrive early/mid next week. Please get me a quick feedback when you hold them in your hands... don't be too surprised to find a second Bonus disc attached. I could not resist to put some live and lengthier stuff seperately. Cheers, Tjobbe

  21. What are your first impressions of the Basie and Farmer ... sets? ← can only add to the above that even the Eldridge is worth buying although I was not really into his music up to now... that might change with the Mosaic now. I do have the feeling that the Basie sounds slightly better than some of the Clef stuff I already have on LPR or VME as single discs. The Jazztet is a must have from my understanding. Cheers, Tjobbe
  22. understood, I might have not recognized they where priced differently in the US... Cheers, Tjobbe
  23. those are about 19$ in retail/14$Street price in the US... so even those are a bargain. Cheers, Tjobbe
  24. so you wanted to tell me with nice words Claude, that what ever OJC's I want to order from them I should better do that now .... guess with Concord they will use their distributor in Europe. Cheers, Tjobbe
  25. UP! in case you want to participate, can you please submit (if not done already, list inserted in first post) until next monday as I want to finish "burn and package" of BT31 until next Tuesday. Thx, Tjobbe
