  1. Thanks my friends for the wonderful birthday greetings ! Had some nice dinner last night, some nice birthday gifts and some even nice gift certificates Cheers, Oliver
  2. Hi Mike et al, I'm just nearly out for diner with my wife and Parents but I just found the at least the Bill Evans in stock on the webside at this very moment... so I guess you really need to randomly check it.... Cheers, Oliver
  3. good to hear you doing fine !!! Cheers, Tjobbe
  4. We've called the dog Tjobbe as it is the name of one of our dogs Dmitry, he's a handsome friendly fellow with a dutch name given by a friend from Arnheim. The "real Tjobbe" is from Groningen, NL EDIT: did somehow delete the original one ...
  5. you should be able to use BIC/IBAN for that... I think Miles has posted somewhere some calculator for transfering the german Bankleitzahl and account into a SWIFT compliant notation so that is not the issue.... Cheers, Tjobbe
  6. Hi Eric, it seems that they have sold what they got few days ago already (not a suprise ) what the customer support told me is that they do expect those being available within one week again as they have not received all the stuff from ZYX overstock which is why those have not been printed in their catalog. The statement means that its not sold out, but just temporarily not available and them trying to re-stock it, so you would need to check from time to time. Unfortunately they do not take any pre-order at all. Cheers, Tjobbe
  7. Hi my sceptical friends , would you be very surprised to hear that I just hold a 12"*12" Art Pepper Galaxy and a 12"*12" Theo Monk box in my hands ? The disc's etc are marked Made in Germany by ZYX nevertheless they are the US packages. Cheers, Tjobbe
  8. Thanks a lot !...start with disk2 than
  9. HI Stefan, received mine today but it seems the disc's have not properly survived the flight over the ocean as the two have baked together some how and disk1 is at least on my PC not recognizable at all due to some remove material. Disc2 with all 13 tracks seems to be readable/playable ok.. Can you resend me the first one (or get me an option where to download some MP3 of it in case of being more convenient for you ?) Thanks, Oliver
  10. don't know although in Tjaders case you wouldn't have any problems to pull together a full set with "pure-Jazz-only" material from his 50's Fantasy recordings but I guess that this is due most of the material is still in print as OJC's or been re-issued as two-LP-on-one-CD packages already not of commercial interest.... Cheers, Tjobbe
  11. Mike, have you seen this Nothing, he has NOTHING ok, here some helping hand The Jazzy side you can cover as a starter with the Live at the Blackhawk and for the Studio part I would use the Tjader/Getz Sextet one (best the SACD version even when having no SACD player but the remaster sound much better than the normal OJC)... oh and Vince G. is playing on both Some Latin one: and one of the "Soul-records" on Verve best this: and finally the Concord period you can choose e.g. this two-fer as a reasonable selection: but to answer the question on Mosaic... I don't care to much as most records are still available in print on CD while LP's mights be much harder to find. Cheers, Tjobbe
  12. ok ... I'm expecting the Pepper Galaxy box tomorrow or Friday latest... it will be shipped today and tell you first hand if its a or a Cheers, Tjobbe EDIT: in case its a I will hide them behind the Mosaic's
  13. I believe they are not Alfred, as ZYX officially sold recently the regular packaged ones. The cheapos that 2001 has offered in 2002/2003 were version from the 80's at least to what I know. This batch here should be the "overstock" that they haven't been able to sell. According to www.jazzecho.de Universal will distribute the Fantasy/Concord output from this year onward at least in Germany . ...but if you can wait patiently for few days and I can tell you than about the Art Pepper at least Cheers, Tjobbe
  14. one further option -but only if you find a european shipping address (as the swedish online shop only ships within EU)- is here Cheers, Tjobbe EDIT: amazon.de does also have listed this Dragon 4er for 45€ +S&H (but not sure if they can really get it in stock)
  15. depends They do have it here for some 45€ which is more or less the amount I would pay if I calculate the overstock s&h plus potential not yet included taxes... although I'm not that sure to look deeper in to it... so convince me Cheers, Tjobbe
  16. Just a quick updater on 2001: as suspected those Fantasy disc-set and individual OJC etc are now dropping in one by one... Currently already available already: Art Pepper 16CD Galaxy Set 50€ Monk Complete Riverside Set 50€ Wes M. complete Riverside Set 40€ some crappy 20Bit OJC for 3€, some regular remasters for 4€ and some 2CD sets for 5€ Cheers, Tjobbe
  17. I justed wanted to add a reply to this thread but than pressed Cancel... Cheers, Tjobbe
  18. what a great idea ! you can play your own tunes with Keiths singing (a kinda "Reverse Karaoke") Cheers, Tjobbe
  19. Better late than never: Atomic with their 3CDBox The Bikini Tapes Cheers, Tjobbe
  20. Happy New year to all of you !!!! cought myself an aweful cold and was snoring as loud as an elefant (according to my wife ) but we are anyway not going out on 31st due to our animals at home... they do not really like it. Cheers, Tjobbe
