    Their website to the contrary, I have a very hard time believing that this is legit. The Wewerka disc was legit - Hans Wewerka produced the original session and leased it to FMP.

    I promise next year I'll get back into show-attending mode. Other obligations and projects have me buried up to my ears. It has been a fascinating but exhausting year. Visual art is great but I miss creative music and beer.

    2 very nice sets on that excellent blog, in pretty decent fidelity all considered. Sharp certainly can play and both bands are top notch. This is absolutely wonderful - thanks!!!

    I am told there are some burning tapes with Denis Charles and (IIRC) William Parker from the '80s. Only other Sharpe "avant-garde" album I have (other than For Losers) is with A.R. Penck and the TTT crew, titled Endless Jazz. Denis Charles and Lisle Ellis are also on it. Shoulda been a trio...

    I believe so, but I'm not sure if he produced all of the "heavy" jazz sessions. The ones I have are: Bill Barron & Ted Curson - Now Hear This (AF) Bill Barron - West Side Story Bossa Nova (Dauntless) Walt Dickerson - Jazz Impressions of Lawrence of Arabia (Dauntless) Walt Dickerson - Unity (AF) Elmo Hope - Sounds from Riker's Island (AF) There's an attractive looking Prince Lasha session with the Bossa Tres that I've never actually owned. For what it's worth, my mono copy of Jazz Impressions of LoA is on MGM. Sure you're not thinking of Impressions of a Patch of Blue? Lawrence of Arabia also came out as Vibes in Motion on Audio Fidelity.

    FB asked me what my favorite teams were. Wheatland Cycling is not on there, nor is the Sunflower Outdoor & Bike Shop cycling team (or the ol' Wednesday night rides!). At least Steve Tilford I could "like" on FB.
