Its been said many times but the occasion saw him I was amazed at the textures he managed to get out of his drum-kit. Especially his work with mallets. Damn.... so sorry to hear this. But what an amazing musical life. Saw him just the once about 20 years ago with the 'Euphoria' group but it was a great evening and he was in absolutely A1 form. Thank you for the music and the Mosaic set will be spun this week. RIP..

Remember seeing Loose Tubes at the Bath Fest back in the late 80s. Caught a free open-air gig by them in Toronto a few years later too, not long before they folded. Should be interesting . Hopefully Cheltenham will ramp up the jazz quotient a bit more this year. Really hope the Bath Fest gets its mojo back as well, although not over optimistic..
