  6. Last copy of that one I saw over here was about £40 and no doubt it had the infamous 'bump' so - great find ! I still need to find a Liberty copy (not at £40 though) but the Big John Mosaic Select fills the gap OK.

  10. Wish I'd got to see his UK Tour from a few years ago performed 'in a skip'. Great originals/eccentrics like Lol Coxhill are sadly a rapidly disappearing breed over here these days. Will give that 'Old Grey Whistle Test' DVD performance recorded with Kevin Ayers a spin later on.
  11. Very sad news - saw him just the once (at that 'Jazz Brittania' show in the Barbican) but he was memorable. RIP. "possibly the only saxophonist who could claim to have played with Anthony Braxton, Tommy Cooper and punk rockers The Damned". Absolutely one of a kind.
  12. Happy Birthday Guy !
  13. I think that qualifies! Ditto. I want one of those ! I was wondering about that 'no locked groove on A3 thing', thinking it was something to do with RVG/ears/runouts - and then I remembered that thread.

  20. Great performance by Federer. He had Murray running around like crazy. Strong start by Murray and he could have won the 2nd set too - but then Federer kept his cool and made use of his reserves. A deserved win !
  21. Looks very nice ! Watch out on a trail in BC, up near Whistler, called 'Lost Lake'. I ended up getting well and truly lost in there many years ago and it took a 'Deliverance' type search for civilisation to get out of it. In the end we heard the distant sound of some trucks..
  22. Neil Swainson '49th Parallel' (Concord). Obscure but good.
  23. I have the 2LP of the Amsterdam too. Will dig it out. Amen ! And with Malcolm Addey doing the sound - dream team.
  24. I'll swap Shepherds Pie for Cuckoo Clocks anytime..
