  3. Looks like there's some more titles coming up after the May 'cutoff' - there was a mention of this on the Hoffmann Forum with Acoustic Sounds giving details on their pre-order page: Music Matters - Acoustic Sounds Preorders Some very nice looking titles on there. I'll bet that the 'Basra' will be brilliant. Not to mention 'The Gigolo'
  4. Indeed, that was my first thought too. Very sad to hear this, RIP.

  12. Wow - a BIG welcome back ! Last time you were logged on, the economy was still on a roll, credit crunch not an issue, Greece was solvent and Blair/Bush still in office. Another world !
  13. It's the nearest they've got to playing jazz for decades.
  14. Strange funky album. I had it when t first came out and found it very disappointing. Didn't keep it too long. Yes, first listen through I wasn't that over-impressed. It improves on subsequent listenings though - and anything with Cedar listed on it is worth hearing. By 70s jazz-funk standards this is actually a pretty good album ! The 'Eastern Rebellion' albums are better though. I think Cedar and his record company must have been trying to get US FM airplay.
  15. Happy Birthday !
  16. Yes, it makes sense. Plus there are some very good deals to be had on CDs at the moment in the same way that great deals were to be had on LPs back in 1989-93 ish. Download free zone here.

  18. Yes - it was very good. Both Thompson and Hiseman were hugely impressive, when you think of what they have to put up with every day. They deserve our greatest respect. In the credits it mentioned that the Welcome Trust were involved in funding it - obviously intended to raise awareness of Parkinsons, primarily.
