  5. BGO have also issued it as a single CD. £9.99 gets you a copy. Rich CD The 2LP set of this on RCA is really good - it was some of the first Rich I ever heard. Some good Pat LaBarbera and Lyn Biviano. The Rich repartee on the LPs is quite funny - not sure if the Mosaic includes that.

Number of valves is up there with Collossus so could presumably it could also de-crypt the WW2 German teleprinter traffic in its spare time !
  12. Thanks - have wanted to see this for some time. We're lucky that Rhapsody Films funded and put out obscurities such as this, to document players like McLean going about their regular day-to-day business. Good bit of footage with the front-line with Woody Shaw. Presumably that is Scott Holt on bass? Some interesting thoughts on Donald Byrd and his 70s stuff too. A lot of good sense in Jackie's comments.
  13. Might be an idea to remove some of that 'staff information' that is of a personal nature otherwise there's a risk of someone being sued under Data Protection laws.

  15. The post into and out of here seems OK at the moment. Maybe it is a 'London thing'.

  19. Very interesting to compare that material with the Mike Taylor Trio of similar vintage. There were some definite common influences I think.
  20. Sounds cool ! Makes a change from all the Sarkozy/Merkel gigs that are 24/7 on the TV..
  21. Very Happy Birthday, Guy !
  22. That was the first version of that one I bought - still have it. The US orig. is better sounding but the 70s UK Impulse is fine. Turns out they were working from an early generation set of master tapes I believe, for those 70s reissues. Still remember the excitement of picking up that one and 'Africa Brass' up in Taunton back in 1976 (at a vinyl emporium now long gone). Cost was about £3.50 each - not cheap back then. They came with US sleeve liners too (with lots of 'foxing'). I'll stick with my Beatles Mono Box CDs for the 'White Album'.
