Hey Thom - wrong thread for this lot. I've just created a BFT60 Disk 2 thread ! :rsmile:
(I'll reserve any comment until they are moved over. Hope that's OK).
Thought I would jump the gun slightly starting this one up - for anyone Stateside in particular who is already sick of turkey, cranberry jelly and booze..
Any thoughts welcome - the more the merrier ! There is also a Special Award for anyone who can identify the conection between tracks 1 and 2.
Let 'em rip !
Congrats - in that case I'll have to buy it !
I have the LP of this one but it never really grabbed me like the other Neil Ardleys. Will have to dig it out and 'reconsider'.
Yeah - I read abook about what happened there after the trip, after being made aware of it. After seeing how severe the weather came in there, it was no suprise. There would be no way you could get out of there back then, in your covered wagon.
Biggest snow dumps I ever saw in my life were in that general area. Toronto down to Buffalo and Detroit. Only time I have had to dig my car out of a ditch.
Oh - hang on, there was another time. The Donner Pass.
Hope you brought a snack.....
I was skiing nearby at Squaw Valley. Ended up after that being snowed in for a couple of days and watching back-to-back Monty Python on TV, a so-called 'Pythonathon' on PBS ( ) . The days after that were some of the best ski conditions I've ever seen in my life - and empty pistes !

Speaking of that, is there going to be a separate discussion thread started? I can start it, but I think that's typically done by the creator of the BFT (sort of leaving your mark).
I think Al said we were going to roll in early December so still a week away - its just that I'm a little ahead of schedule I guess ( ). If it's OK with everyone I'll kick things off this weekend though with a couple of discussion threads.
