  1. Yeah, but not quite the same thing. I have the CD Giblet Gravy which has some of the tracks, but it is over done and schmaltzy.
  2. Hank Williams, Sr. Earl Scrugs Ricky Skaggs
  3. Here's a couple titles I'd add to the list:
  4. I found a pretty good deal on the Sony PS-LX300USB USB Stereo Turntable at Amazon so bought one. I understand the software is a bit problematic, but for the price [$96 bucks] I couldn't pass it up.
  5. Ella Sarah Nancy
  6. I would add that a "meow" is far quieter than a "bark". We like that. No "lawn ornaments" to worry about since cats do their bodily functions an a sand filled box. Safety first! Cats bathe themselves [though a dog bath can be pretty comical and bonding for the owner and dog]. Cats are cheaper; dogs will cost you a bundle to buy and maintain. Besides, when our cats get the "zooms" it is free entertainment My golden retriever hasn't barked in over 18 months. He doesn't dump his 'ornaments' on any old lawn. I have to walk him to his sweet spots in the local parks for him to finally sit down after giving the place a thorough inspection with his nose. He swims daily in the local waterways. Keeping a dog is expensive, but golden retrievers do provide free entertainment. It's just that they are well behaved inside the house and (expect to) have a lot of fun outside in your company. Just so long as you pick up and toss the doggie doo. Some dog owners around my house just let their dogs run free or let them take a dump and do not pick it up. TBH, it's digusting.

  8. Thanks!
  9. I picked up a copy of Viva Tirado by a Latino group named El Chicano. It has a scratch on Side B but my original copy is worse [some guy at a party dropped the tone arm on my record]. Great record with a nice cover of Cantaloupe Island. The guitarist plays a lot like Wes Montgomery. Top quality B3 work, too. Hopefully, it will sound OK. I eventually want to turn all my analogue recordings [some 800+ albums] into CD-R digital format. BTW...does anybody know of a place to buy an inexpensive turntable which turns LPs into digital recordings?
  10. Good point. They're all pros, right? Maybe i worry too much.
  11. I just read in today's newspaper that the Giants will be losing 8 players to the World Baseball Championship [including Pablo Sandoval]. Where I hope the WBC is a great competition, I also worry about how the Giants will gel without several of their players on the team during Spring Training. Any of you guys seeing this happening on your teams?
  12. Happy B-Day from me, too! Hope it was a fun day.
  13. I dunno. My cats smile a lot. Must be the music you play. Jazz cats...of course!
  14. Appreciate it, Scott. Be sure to give my best to everyone
  15. Sure. I met Henry some years ago at Clint's place. Great guy.
  16. I dunno. My cats smile a lot.
  17. Wow. Blue Train and Dolan at each other's throats. Never saw that one coming
  18. Dodgers arrogance rears its ugly head yet again...Dodgers president and owner predict a dynasty: ttp://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/dodgers/2013/02/28/dodgers-mark-walter-stan-kasten-bold-predictions/1955315/ Now I'm REALLY hating on the Dodgers this year. Grrrr
  19. GREAT news for us 49ers fans: Alex Smith is....GONE!!! http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/report-49ers-agree-trade-alex-smith-chiefs-172032777--nfl.html Party, my house!
  20. All I know is while Dogs are fun to chase, play games with or play fetch with a ball or stick, Cats are in general [or at least all the cats I have ever owned are], kind, gentle and loving creatures. I never had a cat who was aloof [though both my cats have mastered "don't come"; good kitty] or disloyal. Maybe this is because all of our cats have been rescue kitties from the local pound or from off the street. As to intelligence, well, I have had cats who were dumb as a box of rocks [one was downright nuts]. OTOH, most displayed a reasonable penchant for intelligent activities....however one might measure that. Dogs...well, if they didn't sit outside and bark incessantly [at anything, for hours, without purpose; don't even get me started on sirens] or act as if they haven't seen their owners in ten years each and every time they came home I might say they are a little more than moderately smart. But I digress...
  21. I grew up with both. Dogs are nice, but I prefer a cat.
  22. A former neighbor of mine had a Weimaraner named Lucy. She was an awesome dog...always greeted me when I got home and her owner and I would throw a tennis ball for her to chase for hours on end. Cool dog.
  23. Hope it's a great day, Jon! Happy Birthday
  24. A man of few words.
