  2. I had a KLH portable when I was in college (1966-68).
  3. I have both, so I don't need them, but someone should snap these up. Very nice recordings!
  4. Betty Crocker The Pillsbury Doughboy Rush Limbaugh
  5. B. Bumble & the Stingers Kokomo Ferrante and Teicher
  6. Inspector Lewis: Allegory of Love on my local PBS station. Kevin Whately and Laurence Fox have helped to make up for the loss of John Thaw and the Inspector Morse series.
  7. Soupy Sales Trader Vic Victor Victoria
  8. This probably speaks to the quality of the music as well as the public's buying habits.
  9. Several good Lin Halliday recordings on Delmark. Airegin is my favorite. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dpopular&field-keywords=lin+halliday+delmark
  10. Glad to hear that.
  11. Couldn't watch it - "unavailable in your area" - USA, I guess they mean. Here's some Rosetta Tharpe that a friend sent me recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1__zadGXR3A Apologies if it repeats the clip in the first post.
  12. Noah Jonah Job
  13. Don Goldie Tintin Herb Jeffries
  14. Marshall Royal Earl King Lord Kitchener
  15. I think you've got a few years on me, Bruce, but I remember the 50s as golden years for the Lions, and the Browns made their golden years last into the 60s.
  16. Same here. I cut down on cybertime a long time ago. I feel I spend too much time at O. I try to live a life in realtime! Thirded. I enjoy the time I spend here, but don't want to take any more time out of my life and spend it on other sites.
  17. I wasn't in Buffalo at the time of this concert, but I did buy records at Audrey's Record Shop about five years later.
  18. Hey, I sometimes feel somewhat guilty/crazy about my collecting, but it brings me great pleasure and I believe that it's made me a better, more interesting person. Can't knock that.
  19. Glad to hear you made the stop. I've always enjoyed my visits to Sally's for the atmosphere alone - plus I always find something to buy.
  20. Happy Birthday!
  21. Watched a documentary on the relationship between Vlade Divac and Drazen Petrovic on ESPN this afternoon. It touched on friendship, broken friendship, politics, war .... One of the most moving sports related films I've ever seen.
  22. Great photo on the Monk! Thanks for posting that - I hadn't seen it before.
  23. There's so much music readily available - good, bad, and in between - that I can't be bothered worrying about something that I've never heard. Plus, I've been around long enough to have found that, in the end, just about everything gets reissued in some form or other.
  24. In the end, there is no good heroin.
  25. Maybe those guys who buy Mosaics as investments and never play them are the smart ones.
