I love the show. I thought the ending was too much of a stretch and maybe a cop out but I'm going to miss it. Not sure what I will find to takes its place to fill the void for raw violence. Homeland is really good this season.

I watch the show and find it can be entertaining but the "witty dialogue" drives me crazy. I mean, are we to believe news production rooms are filled with 20 and 30 something mensa members talking facts, stats, data and obscure references off the cuff with each comment or response to being cuter than the other. We've all watched the news. Does this seem even plausible?

I'm not in the area but did have two crews working in the vicinity on a pipe line clearing project. They bugged out yesterday. Good luck to you. -

Exercise Regimen - What You Got?
catesta replied to Dan Gould's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
My weight fluctuates a little but for the most part I don't seem to put much on, but I still carry more weight at the belly than I'd like. Walking is a non issue when I'm in New York. I easily do several miles a day with some of that being on an incline up three long blocks. I still have way too much windshield time though and too much at the desk this time of year. So I've been doing the bile and elliptical at the gym several times a week. Still not enough, so we're going to resume evening walks after dinner and I have to increase time at the gym at least a couple more days a week. My other problem is, I love to cook (and eat) and tend to over do it so my wife has made me curtail a lot of my favorites and we're now much more fish, chicken and veggies. -

I'd it's an MG by the looks of the dash lines. -
Lew Tabackin cooked at the Arts Garage

I was fortunate to hear Tabackin with Cedar Walton back in 2004 and enjoyed the hell out of it. Lew played "Wise One" on flute and it kicked ass. -

Majorly bummed when I saw this scroll across the bottom of the screen last night. I found it impossible not to like them. Fuckin' alzheimers. -
Same here. I spend a lot of time driving and just this last summer while surfing SiriusXM channels I stopped on the 60s while "Stranger on the Shore" was playing. It hit the mood and scenery just right. RIP, Mr. Acker Bilk.

It can be catchy sometimes and entertaining under the right circumstances while at the right place, but for the most part it all sounds like the same few songs with minor tweaks here and there, slow or fast.

MLB 2014 Season - Always Take Your Glove To The Ballpark!
catesta replied to JSngry's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Hell of a series! I was pulling for the Royals all the way but had a feeling the Giants would win it. Bumgarner is really something. The Royals have nothing to be ashamed of, it went down to the wire in seven games of great baseball. -

I thought this was the first time two teams with less than 90 wins ever met in the World Series. -
Thanks! I walked into an office filled with balloons this morning. Obviously the work of my wife as no one else likes me that much.

Fuck yeah! Royals poured it on last night. This series has not disappointed in the slightest and I'm predicting game 7 will be a nail-biter. -

I was expecting KC to come out swinging big time after that Saturday ass kicking and they did! The only problem was fuckin' Bumgarner being on the mound. -

We just might. I was really glad to see the Royals turn it on. -
Jazz Corner and Blue Note were my first but JC didn't work for me. BN was a blast. Didn't Downbeat have forums at one time?
