  1. I've always been lukewarm on the Leftovers. I've seen every episode and will watch the third season but I've found it to be frustrating in a Three's Company kind of way at times. And is it just me or does Justin Theroux look like a younger John Slattery?
  2. I was gifted a later version (1985 I think) of Who's Who of Jazz some years back and have always been happy to have it. RIP, Mr. Chilton.
  3. Is anybody here watching the new HBO series Vinyl?
  4. Best of luck to you. We work out of the Jerome/Moshulu NYCTA Train Yard a couple of times a year. Wave if you see me.
  5. Shawn, will people actually move into those buildings?
  6. Yep. What makes matters worse is the constant thinking about the problem. Clearing your mind is impossible. Have your doctor explore some other options.
  7. Ha! "Karate Kid Drummer"
  8. RIP Maurice. The music will always live on. Thank you for that.
  9. Indeed a nice long run. RIP, Mr. Elliott.
  10. 1mg of Lorazepam isn't what gets me, although it does make me sleepy it typically just makes you feel very relaxed which is what I needed. I have taken 2mg though and that's a whole different animal for me. I never worried about getting hooked just didn't like the way I felt for the hours afterwards. I've heard of L-Theanine but have no experience with it.
  11. Fuckin' Lorazepam. I have taken 1mg from time to time before flying. It definitely puts you to sleep but I hate it.
  12. Looks nice. I've been looking to upgrade to a newer set. I have a 52" Sharp Aquos that is probably 7 years old and is starting to have some picture quality issues. I have a question for the group here. Any concerns about all this "smart TV" shit I'm always reading about? While my current TV is an early version "smart" I never had to utilize all the stuff that seems to be mandatory these days. In other words there is no way I'm aware of to bypass putting in information and so like computers they track/spy etc.

    Blowfly, RIP

RIP, dude. Thanks for the laughs.
  14. Well, this time it looks like it's for real, Abe Vigoda has passed away. A great character on one of my all time favorite TV shows (Barney Miller) and a great supporting actor in one of the all time greatest movies. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/abe-vigoda-sunken-eyed-character-actor-dies-at-94/ RIP, Abe.
  15. I agree. The cast and writing was incredible.
  16. A Christmas gift from my wife. It was always funny to me but seems even funnier now. Richard Mulligan was a real comedic actor.
  17. Wow, this is mostly all new music to me and sounds like something I need to have.
  18. Wow, RIP Glenn.
  19. It's funny how some songs stay in your life forever and for all kinds of crazy reasons. For me "So Very Hard to Go" is one of those. First time I ever heard it was on the alarm clock radio while still dark outside and trying to get up up for school. Thanks TOP. RIP Mic.
  20. I'm the same way. I listen to the stuff all the time, especially when I'm cooking on a Sunday. Even when guys and gals were copying each other, there was still something different about it.
  21. Nice story. The guy has put out some great music over the years. Count me as an admirer and fan.
  22. I was always a nocturnal person. Up all night, sleep all day kind of thing. Even after I got a real job, I used to stay up until 3:00-4:00 a.m., maybe grab a few hours and all was good. Shit hit the fan when I no longer wanted to be a "night person" and I know that is still to blame for a lot of my problems now.
