  1. Welcome back. You missed a few things, so....... For the record, can you tell us your opinion of Stan Getz as a person?
  2. Yeah, I heard Howard Stern talking about this after I watched the clip. I'm inclined to believe it was a set up stunt and eminem was in on it. UPDATE: TV Guide's Matt Mitovich says he is "certain" that the Eminem-Bruno stunt was prearranged. "There's no way it was an accident," an industry insider who was seated a few rows in front of Eminem said. "You don't let two stars collide without a detailed plan." Here's what Matt writes for supporting evidence: He says that the speakers up in the ceiling that Bruno ran into were lowered into his path during the previous commercial break. That bit of equipment manipulation — coupled with the director's cut to Eminem several seconds before Bruno's landing on him — is what his spy calls "the smoking gun." Matt says that Eminem's outburst was all an act. "Everyone was laughing about it during the next break," says our source, "especially the MTV staffers." Meanwhile, Lil Wayne didn't weigh in on whether the Bruno stunt was staged, but he did tell MTV's Tim Kash: “I was expecting the unexpected… with him. I didn’t understand it, but it was cool.”
  3. I wouldn't say I feel sorry for eminem, dude has always been a jerkoff. I can totally understand getting pissed when a dude goes and wraps his legs around your neck and putting his ass and sweaty ball sack so close to your face. For me it's got nothing to do with being homophobic and more with not wanting a person that close to me in that way. Still, as much as I've laughed at Cohen before and as much of an idiot I think eminem is, I give it a chuckle and say he (eminem) overreacted.
  4. Beer can chicken and a mediterranean salad.
  5. Damn! You mean those bastards went and pulled an Art Modell and moved out of New York without anyone knowing?
  6. Julio: Buenos Dias, Mr. Sanford. Fred Sanford: And beans and disease to you, too
  7. Lamont Sanford: Did you get the liquor Rollo? Rollo Larson: No, I can't right now. Lamont Sanford: Why not? Rollo Larson: The store's still open!
  8. Looks like I'm a day late. I hope you had a pleasant day, a happy birthday and got something cool.
  9. I enjoy those Dixie beers. The skirt steak doesn't sound so bad either.
  10. Yeah, it's a little long and I'm guessing the budget was under $500.
  11. I make these like my grandmother did. I'll post up a recipe in the next couple of days. Telling you how to make them is easy, but I never really kept track of the quantity of ingredients. I'll try and write it down this time.
  12. Oh, that Sandeep Chowta. Thanks, and goodnight.
  13. hehe I guess the dudes caught some shit though and had to explain.
  14. As far as I'm concerned it is still a good value and a great source for music and entertainment. They will be fine.
  15. I have no idea what that is, but it looks great. Does it mail well? As 7/4 pointed out, it is a delicious ball of rice. I make the ball itself with every thing blended together. Arborio rice with finely diced pancetta or ham, (sausage or ground veal works as well) peas, Parmigiano, and mozzarella and or locatelli. Formed into a small baseball or golfball size and fried until lighly browned. Serve with a little marinara on the side or over the top. You can order them from places in New York like Landi's in Brooklyn, Mikes on Arthur Avenue or Iavarone Brothers, but shipping costs are probably a son of a bitch. I imagine any Italian store worth a shit would carry them if you don't want to make on your own. This place, maybe? Jimmy's
  16. I'm making arancini this weekend if anyone wants to drop by the crib. I use arborio, so it's a beautiful thing.
  17. Shit, I didn't follow his music career so had no idea he was sick. Also didn't realize when I was watching him play he was only a couple of years older than me, damn. RIP, Waymon. edit for spelling
  18. The slogan.... Moderators?... We don't need.. no stickin' moderators!
  19. Somebody better start a new board name suggestion thread.
  20. I think a name change for the board would be a good start, Jim. We are an established group of people here, and I don't think the name change would affect us. But it would help to disassociate the comments here in the forum from the band itself. Maybe not linking the renamed board to the band's home page (and vice-versa) would be a good idea, too. Hmmm..., so technically a renamed and disassociated board could also be a no holds barred kind of board. I like it!

Let me guess..... AggieFanForums? Seriously though, that's not a bad idea. You could still link the forums to the band homepage if you wanted, but just call it ___________jazz forums and put up a disclaimer like "the shit said here does not directly reflect the opinion of the band, it's an independent board", etc.etc.
  22. If I may make a suggestion. Post your message loud and clear, I'm sure the majority will follow. If you have to, empower an additional moderator (since MG is out for now) and suspend members temporarily for a slap on thw wrist kind of thing or permanently when they don't follow the rules. Yeah, I know I know, evetually it will just be the three band members, Sangrey and Larry left, but maybe would that be such a bad thing? Either that or recruit more chicks.
  23. Word. Might be kind of cool to have Stan's daugther in the house on a regular basis. Now, what do we have to do to get Cathy Rich to make an appearance here? You are both very kind.. and I appreciate it much. As for getting Cathy to "play"? NEVER HAPPEN! She flatly refuses to even read the Buddy garbage. I think I need to take a lesson from Cath. Smart lady! I know there is some "I love Buddy" stuff in the history here somewhere, I'll give a looksie. And if there isn't, I'll make some up. Give me a minute or two. In the mean time get Ms. Rich on the horn.
